anone know the best remedy for migraine?

i've had chronic migraine attacks since i gave birth to my eldest daughter and i'm now immune to the over the counter meds....i've used avamigran, excedrin migraine, tylenol migraine and motrin but they dont work for me no more...any other choices??
last time i saw my doctor, he's already referred me to see a neurologist...am scared to take the serious kinds of drugs since they require prescription.....

The thing that helped my migraines stop was going on the pill. I used to get them nearly every month but now im on it I get about 2 a year. I don't know though if you would be comfortable being on it. If your doctor has referred you to someone I'm sure they would talk you through being on something stronger and help calm any fears you have.
