I was responding to another discussion and it made me wonder- really- what is it about his music that people just feel so elated by it? It's like a drug that has the same effect on everyone that listens to it. There's got to be a reason his reggae is like default party music. It works every time. Why is that? Reggae fascinates me.

I can't put a word to it, but Bob Marley's music is so special. I never listened to it until I moved to Cozumel. It was right after Hurricane Wilma and the island had been trashed. Everyone was depressed and worried about money. Then we all started listening to Marley. His music just touched our souls. We had no money, but he taught us, "Don't worry about a thing, every little thing is gonna be alright."

playapal, I think of those words alot when I worry that something is going wrong , and those words really lift me up . I liked the way he looked, the way he moved on stage, his songs, listening to him speak of his beliefs . He is a legend !
That was a great story about how people in Cozumel came through the hurricane .

My take is that is was a wise man had wisdom that came from above, i wounder how it would be if he was still around. I mean his music is still relevant and is liked by the whole world.

Reggae is like one of those enchanting music. It is something light to the ears. Aside from being Reggae, the lyrics behind Bob Marley songs is something deep.
