I love going to these kinds of restaurant since there really a huge selection of food. but the problem is, when I already finished my first plate, I am already full and cant have another plate anymore. A friend told me to just get a little of evertyhing. So I tried it but it is still the same. I dont actually have room for desserts anymore. And that made me think I just wasted my money on that restaurant. I feel like I didnt get what my money is worth.
Do you guys love to eat in an All-you-Can-Eat restaurant? How many times do you go the buffet table and get another plate of different food?

There is a good Mandarin buffet here. When we go, it is usually Fridays for dinner. Along with the usual stuff, they have king crab legs, steamed and raw clams, several types of shrimp and roast beef. Last week we went for the first time in a while. They even had blue crab. Did not care much for that.
Usually I go for all seafood and can do two or three trips. I sometimes will get some noodles or rice. Sushi also.

The thing about that is if you know that your going to an all you an eat. Don't eat to much during the day when you go drink plenty of fluids. Then when you to go, get a little of everything like your friend suggested. Then don't try to drink and eat at the same time that will just fill you up faster. Take a few sips not complete gulps.
Then there is something else that you have to remember when going to all you can eat too. Don't let your eyes make your stomach think it can eat all that you see. I think that is how people get it when they can't eat but so much and then they feel like they have wasted there money. Eat what you know that you are capable of holding. That should help a little.

Yeah I got to buffet sometiems...rarely though. The only buffet I would go is Kanda Sushi. I know the ingredients are fresh and a plate is already 10$ in other store. While the buffet is 15$. So when I go there with my boyfriend, we often eat for a second round. I think it is economic for us. but it's true that people who don't eat alot, it would be a waste of monney. It won't be economic for me to go at the buffet but I know I spend a great time with my friends. I don't go to chinese buffet though. I prefer sushi or french one :P have fun

I don't want to eat in an ALL-YOU-CAN- EAT restaurant, its make my money wasted WHY? because I eat small only, even i order in single meal in McDonald, i didn't eat all, so i order a kids meals. I love to eat but not in one time, if I'm in our house every hour you can saw me looking a food in refrigerator but when I eat in restaurant like We topic, I can eat a lot, sometimes only salad I can eat. So I feel it just wasting my money go in that kind of restaurant.

I like to eat at all you can eat sushi places, but you're right, I'm never sure I'm getting my money's worth: I don't eat that much at a meal. But it's still fun, and to be honest, I've eaten at restaurants where you pay a high price and still don't get a lot of food.

I seldom eat in this type of restaurant because the price is very expensive. I only go to eat in buffet hotels when my company or my husband's company gave us a treat for free. So far I have eaten about not more than 10 times in a hotel serving buffet and I like the food served there. There are plenty of food and I try everything. I just take one spoon for everything and I was able to try them all.
Usually I will sit there until the events is closed so it is usually a long period of time. It takes around 3 to 4 hours to finish and event and I get hungry again during the time. So I refilled my plates 2 to 3 times and I enjoyed eating to the maximum because it was all free of charge.

I think that's one of the techniques in these kinds of restairant. you need to stay for a long time. We need to take our time. We dont need to rush to enjoy the food. .

Hello katrhina. I love to go to dine in such a restaurant. In my city there is one such restaurant. When I happen to go shopping there at lunch time, I will stay there to choose a little bit of different kinds of food. It is very convenient for us customers to choose any food that we like and it does not cost much for a little bit. Good day.

I also like to go to these kind of restaurants and I had the same problem like you. So what I do is I had a little bit of everything. I'll have every kind of dish that I think I want and have a taste of everything. Maybe that is why I only go to that kind of place only once a year.

Yeah that's what I do too. Just a little of everything. but you know if you put everything in your plate, it will already be like a mountain of different food.

Yes, All-You-Can-Eat restaurants are amazing. I usually go with a large group so that it's not just about the food. I usually plan ahead of time in the morning, that way I will not eat anything till supper time and I will have a big appetite. Don't be disheartened if you can't have a second plate. You should never force food down your throat because at some point, there is no benefit to it; the law of marginal utility. Next time you go out, think of it more as a night of entertainment, food, drinks, and good laughs with friends and I am sure you will get your bang for your buck!

Yeah you're right. To enjoy the food, one has to be with friends and it will be time to catch up with each other. We do need to spend time there. Taking time while we eat and chat .

I already ate twice in eat-all-you-can restaurant. I think I get my money's worth because I tasted different kind of foods. What I did was to get small portion of every food I want or haven't tasted. I dont expect myself to eat everything in big portion. That's too much and this kind of restaurant knows that.

I have been to several all you can eat places. I do not go to them very often, but I always enjoy myself when I do go. I doubt I get my moneys worth of food when I got, but I think that it is worth it to be able to get a variety of food. I normally do one trip to the salad bar, one trip for food, and if I have room one trip for desert. At a Chinese buffet I normally go up twice. Once for appetizers and once for main course.

i dolike a good buffe. i like to see what i'm getting. i usually get the salad first because ilove a good salad. then i go het me a plate of mostly meat [especially fried chicken]. i don't care much for the veggies on a buffet. they are never seasoned right i don't think. i don't go back for anything else.i feel like i get money's worth if it's good.i see people waste alot of food at a buffet. i hate to see that when u know there are hungry people out there.

What I do is skip the bread and salad and choose my favorite food. I don't pile my plate. I put small portions on it. Then after I finish my food I rest for a few minutes and chat with my sister or brother or whoever I'm with. Then I go for a second and pick only my favorites. After that I barely have room for dessert. When I was a teenager I could really pound in the food. Usually I go to the buffets during lunch time. Dinner costs more.
