I love reading Chicken Soup for the Soul. The stories inspire me, give me chance to reflect on yself and they most of the time make me cry.
I have read several chicken Soup for the Soul books, but my favorite is Chicken Soup for the Teacher's Soul. It was given to me by my mentor when I was a new teacher here in the US. It was her christmas gift to me.
How about you, have you read the book? How did it affect you?

I have read 8 different Chicken Soup books (and have even submitted to them). I've read Couple's Soul, Mother's Soul, Mother's Soul 2, Parent's Soul, Christian's Soul, Women's Soul, the original Chicken Soup for the Soul, and my favourite Chicken Soup for the Writer's Soul.
I can't believe the number of books they have out. And to think they were rejected by many publishers before they got their first book published. I think they have gone a little extreme now as they have Chicken Soup for the American Idol's Soul. Seems silly and really pushing it... like they're running out of ideas. But I liked the ones I read (and my daughter has read pre-teen and teen souls' books) and I'm sure the dog lovers and fishermen and golfers, etc., enjoy the books that are directed at them as well.

Yeah, I've noticed that too that they seem to have everything almost. I read the Christian Soul only because my grandmother bought it for me.
I think they can keep coming out with 2nd, 3rd, 4th editions of everything. It's hard to believe they can sell so many of these but I guess they are good looking gift ideas.

Its really pretty amazing that they have compiled a lot of stories and had them organized into different categories.
Well most of them are submitted by different people. And maybe their researchers are really good.
Chicken Soup for the American Idol's Soul? that s cute ;)
I only read the Chichen Soup 1st , 2nd, 3rd, 6th (my favorite) servings. I havent gotten one with categories except for the Teacher's Soul whichw as givien to me by my mentor.

Hi,
I learn about this book few minutes ago when I was reading another discussion. It seems that this book is quite good. I read a lot of good comments about it. I will surely look for it in book store soon.

I have read many of these Books, and truly would recommend these to anyone who is needing a little bit of Inspiration and hope in their life. I have even considered trying to get some of my work printed in one of these, but not ever sure my Work is good enough as well. But honestly you can never go wrong reading or buying any of these books for sure.

No, not yet! But, I love their books! They are very inspiring and they tell many facts about life's struggles.. I love to read these type of books. I just have to select my category for my interest and then, I will read the book that I would like to know more about.

Me too. I love these kinds of books. Even if they make me cry. I might try the Cook's soul since i love to cook.
I might get used ones from ebay since the brand new ones cost a lot.

I've read all the teenage ones when I was younger and most of the pet ones as well. I thought the teenage books were pretty corny, but with a few good stories that ended up making me get the whole series. But then the pet ones were mostly good.
If they come out with Chicken Soup for the Gay and Lesbian Soul, I'll definitely get that one. But most of their books out now don't interest me.

I've read several Chicken Soup for the Soul books :) I never had a copy for myself though because I only borrow them from friends. I liked it when I was younger but I guess I got tired of the same "plot" over and over again and have shifted back to reading novels :)
Thanks for the response on my discussion!
