Moving around... if you just lay there they will feel worse! I justget up and shower and keep going all day long... no naps! That will make them hurt too!

Aleve, or Ibuprofen, I can't handle pain very well, not like that kind of pain. I'm fortunate and have never had cramps.

I use Baralgin. I’ve tried the stretches but when the cramps are bad the stretches make no difference.

I have never had cramps but my sister always did. Her docter told her to take a calcium supplement everyday and she hasnt had any since.

Heating pads work wonders. So do hot baths sometimes. And Aleve is really the only thing that works for me. Pamprin or whatever has too much caffeine in it. Makes me sick.

Exercise works for me. Even a slow walk will help ease the pain.

My mother used to get them so bad she would be bedridden and in extreme pain for days. When she started taking a nutritional supplement called, "Reliv" she no longer had the problem anymore. Years later, she went through her change without any side effects at all. Look for JaniceCaswell on this site if you want more information about reliv. It works!

When I do get them, I take aleeve. Works wonders! But I usually just drink water which doesn't help me when I'm feeling bloated.

I drink chamomile tea and keep socks on my feet. I don't get them bad, I just get a slight ache, but if my feet get cold I get the full effect.

Not much. Perhaps a warm bath to soak in.

Good golly, cramps suck. I am suffering with so may problems having to deal with Menopause, PMS, and having my period. I don't have cramps as much as I have hot flashes, night sweats, and mood swings. The cramps I do get are tolerable. It is the other crap that sucks.

For me two Aleve was the only thing that would help and/or a hot bath. If your cramps continue to get worse and worse you may want to go to your gynecologist and get a pelvic ultra sound, (doesn't hurt). My cramps got so bad, I couldn't sit down at work and finally found out I had an ovarian cyst that was growing bigger everytime I had my period. I ended up having surgery and they found I had endometriosis and two cysts, the size of chicken eggs. The surgery went well. I do not miss having periods, have early menopause, but have hot flashes under control by taking the generic brand of Remifemin.
