Like anything else it has its advantages and disadvantages... Like when you want to defrag your computer it doesnt show the files. But thats nothing big. Im not going to complain over something so small as that. But I like Vista it works for me.

Yes I do have a Vista Ultimate and its much better than its lower version like vista home, business and etc. If you got vista then you gotta learn to love it. I don't have any problems installing latest games and etc in this operating system. It really cool in terms of graphical user interface. But really I am still to loyal to windows xp service pack 2 because I am used to it. I can repair and troubleshoot easily on the xp operating system. I have heard and read an article also about windows 7. This the an operating system after windows vista and I really love to use because its the newer version windows operating system.

vista is really cool good windows i have ever seen. Its has many feature and its security is better than windows xp.But playing games on vista is burden for a gamer if his/her computer performance is not that high.Vista makes things simple and time is saved.so happy vista surfing.

Yes, I use Vista Ultimate. Do I like it? Yes and no. I like it just because it's the newest system (I always have to be on the cutting edge.) and because it looks good. I'm a sucker for the eye candy and the shiny-ness. I'm also just sick of XP. I'm sick of the look. Why I don't like Vista is because it is definitely a resource hog. Now, RAM is pretty cheap now (I purchased 2 gigabytes of RAM for just 40 dollars.) but even idling I use about 40% of my memory, which is a significant amount. But as a gamer I find that I can still game comfortably. I also don't like it because it came from Microsoft (If I wasn't such a gamer I'd switch to Linux in a heartbeat). Microsoft Windows (2000, XP, Vista, etc.) always has some kind of security problem, a problem where if it was a Linux problem it would be fixed in a matter of days by a strong open-source community. And if Windows crashes (any version), it always blames the user. There was even a quote somewhere where someone from Microsoft said that the majority of computer problems can be traced back to the user. Windows is also expensive. A retail version of Vista Ultimate is $300.00, way too rich for my blood. I lucked out and found an OEM 32-bit-only version that was only $150.00, but even then, it's steep. Linux, on the other hand, can do anything Windows can (again, short of gaming, which would have more support if developers, well, developed for it) and do it faster. It also doesn't ask you to restart all the time. Believe it or not, PC hardware was designed to run for months at a time without needing to power down. This is why most web servers run Linux: it's hard to host a site when you have to constantly restart. Vista is what it is. It has its strong points and its weak points; it all depends on how you use your computer and how much control you want over your computer.

I use Vista Home Premium and it works just fine for me. I've heard a lot of people complain about Vista because it asks you for permission to do a lot of things before it does it. To me this is just a security measure and I don't mind. I will say that the only way Vista will run with the least amount of problems and the most speed is if you have at least 2 Gigs of Ram - because it takes about 1 Gig just to run Vista.

I don't use vista much but from what I have heard vista isn't worth it unless you get ultimate. I've never heard a person complain about ultimate but I've heard a lot about home and business.

My PC suck at Vista because of it's weak power and performance. But in school our computers there are Vista OS PC. and the hardware's not bad either. Vista's cool. as long as the PC hardware can overpower it's environment.

I have Vista on my Laptop because it came with it. I can't really say that I like it. Sure it looks nice but it requires a better computer than XP. And I don't see any reason why someone should actually switch to Vista. There is nothing in it that might interest me besides Direct X10 which I can't use anyway because I would need a video card that supports Direct X10 and there are barely any games using it anyway. I am using it but I can't say that there is anything about it that I would prefer over XP right now.

I think one of the best operating system developed by Microsoft is windows XP.If we compare the performance of Vista and XP ,i think XP is more comfortable to use than Vista.Vista requires more hardware requirement. If you got latest processors and high memory capacity more than 2GB,then you can run Vista with out any problem. Some application cannot run properly with Vista.I also installed and tested Vista and graphically its good.I uninstalled it due to its slow performance. Now i am still using Xp and i dont want to switch back to windows Vista.Vista is not so popular compare to windows XP.Many MNC companies after deploying Vista, switch back to XP again because of its slow performance.Success and popularity of an operating system depends on its easiness to use.
