Where Do You Spend Your Christmas?

Christmas season is just around the corner. Many of us are already preparing for this season of giving, sharing, loving and gifts. We celebrate the birth of our saviour "Jesus Christ". During this special day, people prepare foods, invite families and friends. In this coming holiday, how would you spend it? Actually, how do you usually spend Christmas? Do you spend it at home with your family? Or you go to your grandma's house to spend it with other relatives? or you just spend it at work if you have a duty this particular day? As for me, I stop working and drop evrything off no matter what just to celebrate Christmas with my loved ones which of course is my family. My wife, my kids, and if a friend or a relative wants to drop by, then so be it. I make sure that we celebrate it in our home by preparing food, exchanging gifts and praying to thank God for the birth of His son, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. That for me is the most symbolic and proper way to celebrate Christmas season.

I would celebrate with my family. I would celebrate at our home with husband and my son. I would be attending church and sharing the Joy of Christmas with family. I would consider gifts if possible.

I spend all my christmas at my place itself. I really love to decorate the christmas tree because it reminds me of my childhood. I feel very happy on christmas day because I just love the surprise gifts. I know that dad will give me gifts and I wait impatiently.

hello mchavez11, I used to celebrate my Christmas with my family when I was still single. But when I got married everything changed. When my in-laws were still alive, we're celebrating our Christmas in their house. We used to prepare our noche buena first before attending the mass. Then after the mass, family, relatives and some friends will go over there to celebrate it with us. Have exchange gifts, chit-chat, laughters and food of course. Have games too for the children. But now since they're gone already, we'll do it in our house. Indeed, we miss the old times but that is life. Now, we'll celebrate it more simple but what's important is that we'll go to church and thank HIM for everything that HE has given us.

I'd go anywhere to get away from the Christmas season which begins the day after Halloween and last 2 months. The commercialism exceeds anything you can imagine in a Christian Celebration. Even Jesus did not except it and chased the money changers out of His Temple. I'll have nothing to do with silver bells and gold wrapping paper. The antics of these so-called Christians is disgusting. In the guise of giving gifts and eating rich food (when the rest of the world is going hungry) they call on their Savior to save them from Purgatory By Praying to Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. There must be a more appropriate way to celebrate the Christmas Season!

I always spend Christmas at home with my family. I've been spending it with them for 29 years, the same as my age. For my family, it is a tradition to spend Christmas eve and Christmas day altogether. I guess I will do the same thing in the years to come.

Christmas is my favorite time of year! It is one of the busiest times, but I lve every minute of it. I have a pretty large family so we do several different gatherings at Christmas. On Christmas eve, we have a big family meal with my fathers whole side of the family. There are usually around 50 people that get together. After our meal we attend our church service. Then after church, we celebrate Christmas with the entire family o my mothers side of the family. This usually ends around midnight. Then on Christmas morning, my mom and dad make breakfast, and my brother and his wife and this year my new niece( who will be 4 months old) and my husband, myself and our son( who turns 1 in three weeks!!!!) celebrate our Christmas together. After that we go to my grandmas house where all of us meet us with my dads brother and wife and their children and their spouses. We all go our separate ways to celebrate Christmas with our individual families and our spouses families. At the end of the evening we end up at my mom and dads house for a dinner and family gathering. It is a nice close to a crazy 2 day event!

Usually I stay home with just my husband and kids..however a couple yrs ago my kids and I went to visit family and my husband spent the holidays with his mum..this yr the kids and I are spending it with my boyfriend and my husband is spendingn it with his mum again.... I am retired so work doesnt come into play for me but my husband has a few days off and always takes vacation days as well..this yr he's taking a couple extra days off so he can drive us up to my bfs and then pick us up a week later... With Xmas being a Pagan holiday originally and my being a Pagan we do a variety of things that are of course Pagan but this yr I'm not sure if we will..the boyfriend is Christian so I imagine he'll go to the special services at his church and the kids and I will just hang at his place etc

As always, I will spend this coming Christmas with my family and we will celebrate it here in our home. We will attend mass on Christmas day and I'm hoping that will still be able to complete the 9 novena mass before mass or what we call here "simbang gabi" or "misa de gallo" which is held every 4:30am daily and starts on December 16 and lasted 'til Christmas eve. I was able to complete this novena for the past 11 years, so I'm hoping that I will be able to continue this year... We will also have a reunion with my college friends together with our families sometime after Christmas, we are still yet to finalize the details and contact everyone to get their confirmation on the attendance so we can plan ahead for the food and program, the venue is definitely here in my house.

usually, i spend Christmas with family.. we've been practicing the tradition of celebrating "Noche Buena" on Christmas eve.. then on the 25th we'll be opening Christmas gifts, going to church and giving away simple presents to kids in our village.. It's Our Lord Jesus Christ's birthday so we never fail to make that day extra special..
