how do you calculate the earnings / discussion?

Don't worry too much about earnings and how they are calculated. Just join in and have fun and let the cents come as they will. The important thing to remember is to post quality - one line replies will earn nothing. 50 words or more will earn 1 or 2c.

From what I can gather on here from my own experience and from what I have read the average I have earnt from each post is 1 cent a post. Something I believe is true is that you don't get paid for starting the discussions although you get paid if you respond to the comments. Also marking comments + or - (I only pick the plus ones) also can increase earnings (if only slightly). Also as others have said, there is no hard and fast rules for the amounts, but try to add a good few lines or a paragraph or two in your discussions and where possible go into depth a bit. Finally, don't forget the Tags at the end, as these also add value (I believe) but make sure that the tags are relevant, and try to think of alternative ones to what others have put. Good Luck and remember the best way to increase your earnings is to post regularly and the amount will soon add up.

I thought that 5 to 6 sentences would rightly bring more money in Mylot. But even this has not increased my earnings. Now I am wondering how are the other members of Mylot are making money.

Mylot is a pay per post forum only. But no one here knows what exactly is the pay for one post. Thats because, if we just assign some value to a post, everyone will start to write just a word or two and get paid. That will not give quality to the discussion. A discussion have to be like a discussion. To earn more here, you should write more. Be as descriptive as possible. Try to write more than 5 lines in every post you make. And also in the discussion that you start. Then your earnings will also increase. You can very well earn here. Use this opportunity to earn more. All the best.

NO you need to how quality work dude. This response of mine would only amount to 0.01-0.06 cents but i think it could go up to 0.10 cents for a single VERY GOOD response or discussion.
