Cant earn more than 4 to 6 cents a day

I think it also depends on the quality of discussions you start and also on how people rate your answers and the best responses you get. I would say keep going, I've made 300 posts and earnt over $5 some people just get money quicker than others.

54 cents for 35 posts??? Come on man.. What more do you expect from mylot??? To pay you 10 cents per post?? Just write more and automatically you will earn more. Some people do get less than a cent per post. Thats because of the lag in quality. You have got more than a cent per post. Just write more number of posts per day. Thats enough.
