I am starting a weight loss goal today considering that I have no money to track it on a diet program and my family isn't supported, I want to start it on here so please help me out. I love all my friends on here and I know ya'll will be supportive of me. I currently almost weight 300, I'm probably about 275 or something like that and I want to lose about 160 pounds weighing in at 140 when saying 300-160= 140 and if I'm not happy with that which I probably will be then i'll keep going otherwise starting tommorrow I'm tracking my calorie intake and I'm not sure how much calories I should be taking in I guess just burn more then I take in. Starting today I am going to start exercising...and if I can achieve this goal I can probably beat my high blood pressure and actually love myself, please help me out with this and keep in touch with me every week I wont know how much i've lost until I get back home where I can weigh myself, but when I do I'll give you an update, Thank you! You all are like family to me and for once in my life I want my boyfriend to look at me and not another girl. :)

I understand what your going thru!!! About two months ago I weighted 225 I have lost 19 lbs! All by doing it the natural way and lots of support. Since your family isn't being very supportive either there are some ways you can get the support you need!
For One there is a free site just like ediets and it's online and completely free. They give you exercise tips and how to do certain exercises and so on. Lots of healthy Articles and you'll meet a lot of people! Who are going to support you no matter what!! There is even a -ville for each ten pounds you lose. Right now I"m in Leaving 200-ville so when you get there do a search and a -ville that you want to be in will be there. Also you can always look me up too! My user id is Lovingwolf911.
The Site is www.sparkpeople.com and Again it's completely Free!!!
Also if you are looking for even more support you can actually start doing videos on the youtube community. That's one way you keep yourself going and focused!!
My page is: www.youtube.com/sickofbeingfat Also you should look up a good friend of mine. He's really inspiring and someone that will keep you on track. www.youtube.com/seansymons
I hope these have come to some use for you!
Do it You can And you Will!

Great idea to get encouragement through mylot. As a serial dieter myself it is really good to have other people helping you along.
I have read tons of diet books, so I have a load of hints and tips. First off, don't set your sights too high, and then be disappointed when you don't achieve. Especially so with exercise, if your body is not used to exercise, you may be tempted to push it too hard, and then give it up when it hurts. Start small and build up.
Also, when you shed pounds quickly, your body may go into starvation mode, and you may get a week or two when you don't lose anything. Don't panic and reach for the fridge, stick to your plan.
Get an outfit out of the wardrobe which is a bit tight at the moment. Aim to get into it in say a month's time. Don't try it on until the month is up, and when it fits like a dream, this is a real motivator. Wishing you all the best with your diet program, and hope that your boyfriend remembers just how great you are.

Another Idea is To set small goals at first to reach a certain point. Such as 250. Once you reach there make sure you treat yourself but not with food. Also they recommend that you should walk at least 30 mins. everyday do not take a day off. You can divide it up into 3 10 min workouts. IT's a great way to start.
Also another great book I'm just getting done reading is "You on a Diet" and it has a lot of interesting facts and ways to keep yourself going.
And just remember You Can Do this!

I am there with you. I'm 5ft and weigh 228pounds. I hate myself, even though my boyfriend says he loves me no matter what, I feel bad for him being with me. Anyway, I have went from 6 cokes a day to 1, and I bought a dance dance revolution game and mat for playstation 2 on ebay for like $15 it works great. It's exercise, but I actually do it cause it's a game, and you lose track of it being good for you. I use it about an hour a day 5 days a week. So far in 2 weeks this and the soda reduction has helped me kick 5 pounds. So good luck, if you need a boost contact me. I need the boost as well!! Take care

They key to weightloss is to change your eaing habits. Eat 4 to 6 meals a day instead of 3 meals...however the trick to this is to eat smaller portioned meals.
Also consume about 2 8oz glasses of water, i will help fill up your stomach some, lowering your calorie intake...allowing you to lose weight more easily.
I am struggling with this myself.
