I've often wondered if there is somebody for everyone. I know that we are always optimistic but does that special someone really exist for everyone?

I believe we all do have a soulmate. For some people their soulmate is not necessary the one they are with. Sometimes tth complexity of life does not allow one to be with his/her soulmate. But no matter what the actual situation is, that special someone for everyone will do come around eventually. Keep the positive thoughts.

What happens whenever you meet your soul mate but you are with someone else?

realisticly, probably not. For me, it looked like I was one of those people that didn't have one. I was over 40 and didn't have one. I had some girlriends here and there, but they never lasted. And I went almost 20 years without anyone. Then, at 44 I met someone and now we have a house together. But there has got to be people out there that never meet anyone, for one reason or another.

Do you not feel that the one you are with is your soul mate? I believe in true love and I don't want to settle. But on the other hand I don't want to be unrealistic and lose out.

That's the way I feel. Chances are, you're not going to find someone perfect. You may even know someone that you would like to be with, but that person is with someone else. In the mean time, there is someone whom you are compatible with. Like in my case. I found someone after all that time. I thought I we were going to get married. She said she wanted to, but then changed her mind. She said she'll stay with me forever but she dosn't want to get married. So it looks like I'm never going to have a wedding. I was disappointed, but we have alot in common, we have a life. I love her, she loves me. I consider her my soulmate.

yes I do believe that there is a soul mate for everyone but just because you fall in love with someone does not mean that is your soul mate, love and logic don't always mix

i believe that everyone has a or no soulmate. It could be either one. Someday, some person might be able to find their soul mate, or they might not. If they don't, then they can find a way to be happy, without a mate. Most people have soulmates though. The perfect person to make their life whole. Complete. That is my answer. I have given you much to ponder. Even from an 11 year old kid.
