What happened to ddos attacks

Not that i want the to happen I remember a few months or weeeks ago, almost all the good bux ptc sites got ddos attacks and everyone got worried. Now it seems its all calm and i there are good ptc sites flourishing without getting the attacks which makes me think that there was something fishy that went on. Do any of you have a clue or idea of why the attacks came all at one time and disappeared?
