How do you live your life?

Just wondering what influences how you live your life? Is it your family, friends, tv, pop or sports stars for example? What or who mould you into the person that you are today?
And do you have a motto that you live your life by? My personal motto is: "Life is for living. You're a long time dead." Why? Cos its pretty obvious. Everyday is special, some of us are not blessed with long lives (sorry if I sound morbid), so surely it is up to us as unique individuals to LIVE every single day and not let live pass us by...

My parents helped to mold me into the person I am today in both positive and negative ways. They instilled a good work ethic in me so I have always been a hard worker and dependable. That has helped me to do well in school and in my career. On the negative side, they seemed to be distant and cold although I knew that they loved us. We rarely were made to feel special but I guess they were too busy earning a living and raising four kids. But, I always felt an emptiness that I was determined my children would never feel so I have always let them know how much they are loved. I tell them and my grandchildren that I love them almost every day.

I personally think everything you have been thru and almost all people you meet influences your life, it is you who decides thou if it is going to have an influence on your life good or bad.
I would say that be it good or bad I have learnt something from the people I have meet, I have choosen thou to use the good or at least keep the good in my life and expel the negative.
The best influences I think came later in life, I think that is because I was able to choose smarter being older. My mom has been a influence for the most part. My husband has helped me be the person I am today and ny best friend. These are the biggest influence but even my kids have influenced me in ways.
Im not sure I really have a motto, but I guess it would be on the line, enjoy life and let people that you love know it as you never know when it will be over.

My parents have always been a huge influence on me and very good examples on how to deal with life. And they have always taught me to be honest and inquisitive about everything. If someone says something or does something I have to know why, because this will only tell you how they will always act or react. Honesty is a virtue that hardly anyone recognizes, appreciates and applies to life. And my father always told me if I ask someone in authority a question I am to always know the answer beforehand (in other words never let someone tell you somehting is so, unless you yourself know it is so). I believe these types of characteristics have given me a very strong faith in myself as well as a very strong set of morals.
Oh yeah and they have always taught me to laugh and enjoy the good because even good can come from bad. They are my heros.
My favortie motto (which fits this response well) is one I heard or read Maya Angelou say "Life loved the person who dared to live it." Two others I love are "All who wander are not lost." And my I am woman hear me roar one "Well behaved women rarely make history."
And there you go.

I'm afraid I'm a will of the wisp. On the one hand, it makes it very easy for me to get by no matter what the situation. I've learned to adapt and fit in and get by - and enjoy. I do tend to live fully in the moment. On the other hand, that means that I have a very hard time making and sticking to long range plans. That's come back to haunt me often enough, usually when I find myself knocked in another direction because I didn't save money or forgot to pay a bill. I've never worried about whether the cup is half empty or half full - as far as I'm concerned, it always runneth over if you tip it the right way.

Life is precious for me and i will always treasure my time in every minute and second. Time wont pass anti-clockwise and world keep on spining without stopping. If there thing you wish to do so, please do so or else there wont be a secong chance anymore but stay with regret.
