how do you handle your boyfriend/girlfriend when he feel down about him/herself?

If there is one thing that you should do when your boyfriend is down is not to console him with some lip service, but, do something which will really divert his attention. When he is in great distress, never ever try to console him with words which are no meaning to him. Instead try to be just there and console her non-verbally. non-verbal consolation are better off during moments of down. As soon as he cope with the situation, try to support him until he regain his self esteem. I always disagree with people to console someone with words of consolation. But in reality it is more of the non-verbal cues which they need than those verbal cues.

Usually what I do when my partner feels down, I let her open up what is bothering her, or why feeling depressed, or what is the main reason she feels that way. I'll just listen to her first, then think of all the options to it. Well what am I here fore, I just don't wanna see her that way. Usually I tell her you can make it, I'll stay with you all the way.Don't worry I'm here! Then I'll give her my big hug!Tell her I love you! Have a nice day!

I dont actually know what to do when my boyfriend is down about himself. Really, his life isnt hard, and he has alot of things going for him when I find I have to try ALOT harder then him to get the things I want in life. Its kinda hard to feel bad for him when he gets all the things he wants handed to him when I try so hard to get what I want in life. It makes me feel that I am so bitter when it comes to it. I just find it hard to gfeel bad for someone whos got it all. I console him as much as I can, but deep down inside I feel kind of bitter lol.
