Domestic Violence and how it affects children.

I must say that it does. Last summer I worked in a shelter for women and their children who were victim of violence. It affects them, because they witness the violence and sometimes the parent who is violent may be even violent towards the child as well. Even just seeing it, it affects them, like anyone who is affected by it. It's awful.

people are so wrapped up in their own problems they don't think about the children, and when there is arguing the words fly and they forget about the children standing there and hearing all of this.

I think it would affect children ever so much, I came from a very happy childhood but i can remember my mum and dad having an argument one night with an uncle of mine and it terrified me and it wasn't even a big fight, I remember screaming and I still remember that night to this day so i think it could very well affect a small child in many wayr with the thinking, their fears and even cinfidences, kids need to grow up feeling safe i thin..
