Is there anyone here that simply did not vote because their choice of candidate either did not win or dropped out for one reason or another? For instance, Hilary Clinton, John Edwards, Mitt Romney, etc.

Speaking for myself, I believe it is my civic responsibility to vote, even when the candidate of my choice does not make it for the long haul. We ask our representatives to make many difficult decisions, some of which are not particularly clear-cut. The least we can do is to make a decision between two (or possibly more) candidates on the ballot. Good government starts at the ground level, and we as citizens are the boots on the ground. Shirking our responsibility because our favorite candidate didn't make the cut is no way to serve the country. My two cents. . . .

It IS our responsibility as Americans but I began to wonder about individuals who may have been so discouraged from voting simply because their choice of candidate did not win. Thank you, for your input.

That's a trick question to me because we all know we were going to vote Deomocratic due to how the republicans did soooooooo bad these last 3 years and it's like you don't have to many choices! But truthfully Ralph Nader would have been a good President, anything is better than BUSH!
