How to use PATA hard disc and SATA hard disc at same time....?

I have a problem with using of PATA hard disc and SATA hard disc.I can use PATA drive when I'm in SATA hard disc, But not possible to use SATA HDD when I'm in PATA HDD. What is the problem?

your motherboard does only support with SATA primary with PATA secondary.
not PATA primary then SATA secondary. or I guess you just got wrong into wrong IDE port and forgot the change the jumper of the PATA HDD.

Are you sure? I have done using both PATA/IDE HDD and SATA HDD. Which is hard drive are you using for your operating system? When you say its not working? Do you mean one of the drive isn't working? Do the PATA and SATA is detected in your motherboard?
Or just one of them is working? Can you reply maybe I can help you with your problem.

What is your motherboard? Are your SATA and PATA drives inserted on the motherboard or do have a PCI SATA Card?
