What did you think of Ron Paul

Ok now i know alot of people didn't like the fact that some of his supporters were out of control with the delivery of his message. But is there really anything wrong with what he was trying to tell people? He was just standing up for the rights we were all born with. I'm a independent but and i follow politics very closely! So how is it that everyone is so quick to just over look anyone who isn't part of the "washington" crowd? This is purely my opinion but our freedoms and liberties are being tossed out the window, and were quickly running towards a country that is so watched and regulated! Ron Paul wanted to stop that, does that make him crazy? Our money isn't worth the paper its printed on, but yet we can continue to create money that doesn't exist. So my question is, what is your opinion on Ron Paul's message of liberty?
