Where can I learn HTML?

What I know is I have to know the basic of html...Then i went to bookstore and found that the prize of the book is costly.I really can't afford it.So I hope to learn from internet....where can I get this information?any free e-book?

There is some good sites are available with tutorial on html. One of the site i am reffering i w3school.com. It is having the tutorials of html and other related stuff to web related subjects. Hopefully we just start with these lessons
