Woman: the word has as many definitions as there are people on the planet. Pretty much everyone has their own opinion of what exactly it means to become one. For some, it's only a matter or time. Reaching a certain age, or a bodily change, such as having your period or becoming pregnant, reveals when womanliness is achieved in many cultures across the world. Others, like your mother, need a series of events to occur before believing someone is a woman. I, myself, am a 20 year old, unmarried, non-mom, yet I still consider myself to be 100% woman. It's more of how you perceive yourself, in my opinion. Good luck on your personal journey....I hope you find that you're not "just a girl."

Lol the real meaning of a woman is doing what you dream of doing. You will know when you are a woman, and no one can tell you otherwise. It's not something that can be easily explained.
But being married and having children doesn't make you a woman. I know a lot of women who have had neither and are happy with it.

Haha there is no real meaning of women, my dear girl. Meanings to anything is all man-made and prescribed by society. Having a baby and a successful marriage means to be a woman was a thinking of the past generations, whereby women are just to stay at home, and are not required to go out to the society to work.
Nowadays, that line is blurred. Society expects women to go outside and work, and there is equality between the two genders. As such, lesser and lesser women have the time for a relationship or to have children. If you were to notice nowdays, there are many women out there who are very succesful in their careers, but do not have children nor are they married.
Does that then makes them less of a women and more like a girl? If they are girls, then how do they make the males in their workplace give them the respect which they needs in order to succeed in landing the position where they are right now?
Actually, whether or not a girl turns to be women, or a boy to a man all depends on the individual's mindset and maturity. You can be married and have kids, but is still very childish in your handling of matters. That makes you still a little girl. However, if you are not married, nor have children, but is very mature in all aspects of life, that easily makes you to be a woman.
Well, take care and hold on to that sort of modern woman's thinking!
