I see a lot of young and adult women who have tattoos on some parts of their body. They can be in the arms, ankles, chest part, wrists or even at the back part of their body. I wonder if a man would like his partner to have tattoos.
I'm afraid of needles, so I don't like to have tattoos. Maybe, I can try those washable and removable tattoos.
Would you like your woman to have tattoo on her body? If no/ yes, why?
Good day!

Well, speaking from an artist's point of view, a tattoo is like a painting but the canvass is the human skin. Different cultures around the world shows this. There are civilizations from the past and present that shows people with art on their bodies. There are those cultures who also look at tattoos as dirty and degrading. As it was in my country many decades ago, those with tattoos were thought of to be convicts. But now people are more open about it here. Yet in this modern world specially in countries where people love their freedom, a tattoo is a way of showing art, or how they feel or sending a message. Since tattoos are often times called semi-permanent (they say it can be removed using lasers, but I'm not sure how quick and easy that is) for one to have a tattoo in my opinion that person must decide on the best one for him or her since it's going to be there for a long time. So you have to think about it first. That also depends on how the art was rendered. First thing you think of getting a butterfly tattoo you say it's real cool, but I've known some people who said the longer they look at it now it's like a moth. Lol. It's not like clothes that you can change the next day. It's something we carry with us for a long time. I have a tattoo on my upper arm and I have weighed everything and decided to live with it for as long as I could. I have been contemplating for years on my next tattoo. This one decision is more hard for me because I want this to be perfect since I also do tattoos back then. For my woman to have a tattoo she should have that concept of the art that she wants on her. I guess it's fine by me for her to have one. As long as she's happy about it and won't come to me and say, I regret having this one and I want to change it. What? Lol. And yes those washable tattoos are perfect for those like you who want to have some art on your body for a short period. Cheers!!!

Who said Wolveren is a woman? I gather from the user name and this post that Wolveren is a male. I don't quite understand what's wrong with a woman answering your question for that matter. MyLot is suppose to be a participation site whether the question was posed for a male perspective or female perspective. I find that comment a touch sexist actually. I have tattoos, I participated in the discussion because it interested me and I gave my perspective as a woman with tattoos and how other males in my family and friend circles treat and view me as a woman with tattoos. That's not taking over your discussion, that's participating in your discussion.

Ms Shealm, I know that Wolveren is a male. You were that woman who commented on the other man, who's one of the respondent. There were only two respondents before, they were jonnii and wolveren.
Peace, Ms Shealm.... Make your day bright.....

I like my woman to have tattoo on her body,
I allow to change different kind of tattoos on her body,
I also allow her to keep the tattoo permanently on her body,
but, one condition,
those tattoos must resemble my figure....
This condition applies to myself also.......

Are you serious? The condition is that it must be a self portrait of you? I have nothing more to say because I don't think my thoughts on that are all that conducive to the discussion and I might likely end up banned if I did say anything. Wow, a lot of things don't surprise me much now a days but this, this has me shaking my head in disbelief.

Hell no! I don't want my girl to have a tattoo, I may be a conservatist type of guy but think about it, if a girl has a tattoo on her body, how much more "grave things" could she have done with her body?
nope, no tattoo :D

Well I'm a woman, but the idea of me having a tattoo on my lower back drives my husband crazy. I don't have one there right now though. I refuse to get one till I lose the baby weight. So right now we just use the temporary ones. He loves it. I don't know if I could go through with a real one anyway.

I'm a woman with tattoos and I have to first of all say that it shouldn't matter what a man, or anyone else thinks. You get a tattoo for yourself alone, and that's the way it should be, regardless of the opinions of others.
My partner loves tattoos and is very supportive of me getting them. That said, your partner should be someone who supports you and accepts that you make your own choices about your body, even if it's not their preference.

My tatts are for me not anyone else. I have several tatts with plans for several more. My tatts are an artistic portrayal of my life, I am a living canvas and testiment to the trials, tribulations and triumphs of my past, present and eventually future. They have all have profound meanings with back history and I enjoy when someone asks me about them and their meaning. It has started some wonderful and deeply philosophical conversations with people.
It's not only about body modification or art. It's about wearing my inner self on the outside. It's about philosophical and personal ideals and morals, it's about my values as a person and my inherent need to display what I believe in. One of my tatts is a tribute to my children. I've had hard, high risk pregnancies and difficult births. It is a tribute (the phoenix in my tatt) to my living on in my children and the future generation that I am raising, to the fertility of the human race (apple blossoms) and the personalities of my children (their Chinese zodiacs) and their births. They are the only people I would ever tattoo their names to my body ever, only they have that honor.
My other one is admittedly my first tatt I ever got at the age of 18. It was a tatt that I don't regret getting per say just regret the person I let do the tatt. I'll be fixing the mistakes soon that was done with that one.
I have plans for tatts that tribute my husband and myself, my children on another part of my body, and my beliefs as a pagan. All of which are drawn and designed by myself. I have plans for an elemental tatt (earth, air, fire and water) with my totem animal (wolf) and the Life Tree that I hold dear in my Celtic Shamanism beliefs (and it's an Oak Life Tree to also symbolize my Druidic beliefs as well). I put a lot of thought into my tatts and a lot of hard work. To have anyone trivialize this is offensive to me personally. My husband understands my need to "wear my inner self" on the outside and has never told me that I could or could not do anything. He wouldn't dream of telling me what to do with or to my own body unless it was dangerous or unsafe.

My mom has tattoos and I would not have any issue on women having tattoos either. Heheh , there are strict regulations for those with tattoos who are supposed to donate blood, it's not allowed in here. I like henna tattoos. I guess that's all I could say.

You can donate blood only after 12 months from the last date of a tattoo. The reason behind this is because the ink molecules can pass into the blood stream in small, minute amounts that can make a person who is very sick much more sick. There are indeed pretty strict rules about donating blood but not as strict as people would think they are.

I know that Sheal. It's part of our standards in our area but regardless of when the tattoo was made. There's no form of regulation in tattooing in my country regarding aseptic technique so upon screening, my hospital does not allow them to donate...

I'm a woman so I can't answer you that. But quite frankly, I find them ugly. And I wouldn't wear one for anyone in the world.

it depends ..tattoo on some girls seems more beautiful than on others, sometimes it seems ugly ..but i think even you don't like ,you should respect their motivation, because it is thing of their own.for me ,I like tattoos, regardless on boys or girls.
