Have you ever tried watching a movie alone in the big screen? How does it feels like? How many times have you tried it? ^^,

I have to say that now I prefer to watch movies by myself once I got over the feelings that it looked weird. The first couple of times I went to the movies it was normally because no one wanted to watch the same movie as me, I was angry and killing time before going home, or just really really bored! At first it feels kinda creepy. All these couples and groups are sitting there and you feel like they are staring at you. They might actually be staring come to think of it, but I've never actually tried to find out. Maybe they admire my bravery and independence! There is no awkward conversation that you choose because it can be immediately cut off when the lights go down. You don't have to worry the person you are with is a chatty Cathy or wants something explained. You can just sit there and get lost in the story. very refreshing (at least to me)

I have gone to one movie by myself. I actually liked it because I could chose the movie and I could watch it in peace. I had noone saying that they did not want to see that movie or did not want to go at that certain time.

I completely agree. :) It is sure nice to be able to watch a movie in peace! :) I also don't like other people saying that they don't want to see that particular movie or that they do not want to go at that particular time! It can be very frustrating! So, it is very nice sometimes to just go to a movie all by yourself! :)

Yes I did watch a movie in the theaters alone. I don't know what's gotten into me that day I remember the first movie that I watched alone was either Hitman or Resident Evil 3 which ever was shown first because I watched both of the movies alone. The last time I watched alone was a couple of months ago and I'm starting to miss doing it. It's actually kind of fun to go see a movie by yourself from time to time (not all the time, okay?). I'm serious. At least for me it's fun.

I like watching movie alone. I have been used to watching movie alone, although, I had one bad experience where I sat beside a crazy guy. It was a weird experience, nonetheless, I still enjoy watching movie alone.

Hi zaychel! I haven't watch movies by myself specially in the theater. I don't know but I'm not comfortable going out or watching movie in the theater alone. I will always go with my husband or a friend. Thanks!

NO.. I will never ever do that, because it's gonna be so strange.. lol =D Even though when i go to movies to frenz, we dun talk much when the movie had started, but being alone is just so different, with strangers beside me.. lol =D BUt then again, it might be a good idea after all, as there seems to be a trend of watching moviesalone nowadays, and who knows one might hook up during the movies.. lol =D STill, i just dun like watching movies alone in the cinema, but i do enjoy it at home.. lol

I am sure that there are people out there that either go to the movie theater alone because they are single or have no one that wants to go with them,or they just enjoy the alone time of going to the theater by themselves which I am sure can be fun for certain people, and I have never gone to the movie theater by myself for several reasons one, because the closest movie theater is twenty minutes away in another county, that I never went to alone, even before I met my fiance, because I do not like fighting traffic alone, and in that county it is not safe like here in the country, and two because my parents would go with me when I was younger as a family event such as at Christmas or my birthday or if it was something we all wanted to see,and now that I am with my fiance I will always have someone to go to the movies with even though we do not go to the movie theater very much because it is getting very expensive, and it is in another county that we do not like visiting because of all the people, and all the traffic, and we would rather stay at my parents house in the country, and go up five minutes to the movie store and rent a movie and watch it either in our room alone,or in the den with my parents if it is something they want to see too,or in the den alone when my parents are either asleep or not at home, and sometimes we would rather just wait for a movie to come on television because that is a whole lot cheaper, and a lot more convenient because we do not ever have to leave the house.

Yes I've done this many times and it doesn't bother me. It is a little weird when you're sitting there before the movie starts and you're the only one who's not with somebody else, but once the movie starts it doesn't matter.

I did it once when no one would go with me to the movie- and i lived far away from my family- so I found it peaceful anyway and I would do it again. but most people want to go with someone -because who wants to sit alone or eat alone- you look like a loser.. lol But personally I don't care what people think of me.. If I want to see that movie bad enough- I don't need anyone else- I would probably enjoy it better by myself (no distractions)

Years ago I lived across the street from a theater in San Francisco, they showed mostly foreign movies. I went to an early movie by myself and enjoyed it a lot. Maybe it wasn't so intimidating because it was across the street and the movie was foreign. Regards

I have never tried watching movie alone in big screen and i don't want to do that too! Suppose that if you are watching a horror, blood thirsty, terror movie alone in a big screen, what will you do?
