I was just wondering if anyone else here is watching this anime. What do you think of it? Like it? Hate it? I'd like to hear your opinion.
The "One Out" refers to a form of a baseball gambling game that Tokuchi Toua is the king of. He ends up losing a match against Kojima Hiromichi, a pro player for the Lycaons and gets dragged into playing pro ball as the teams pitcher. He then goes and makes a really crazy contract with the owner of the team. It basically states that the owner will pay him 5,000,000 yen for every out he pictures but he'll pay the owner 10 times that amount for every point he gives up.
My first thought was that Tokuchi looks a lot like Hiruma from Eyeshield 21. It's like his long lost twin or something. Tokuchi's a laid back guy but he's also very cunning. Then there was the whole narrating thing that reminded me of the anime, Akagi. What an odd mix. I think the thing that keeps me watching is to see the owner's expressions when he finds out that he's been played by Tokuchi. It's so hilarious.

I watch the series. I thought at first it was like Major but then when Tokuchi was introduced it reminded me of Akagi too. It became more interesting when Tokuchi started playing professionally and made an absurd contract with the owner. Really something to look forward too.
