Have you ever thought, What if there was no Thanks giving holiday???

It would be probably weared for most people in the US but has it ever come across your mind that some states dont've thanks giving season? just how much dom we miss out and what's it all about? Imagine one year there's no thanks giving, would you feel the impact?? just curious......

Here in England we don't have thanksgiving. I must say, I wonder what all the fuss is about. However, I also think that over there in the USA, you tend to go overboard with lots of things. For example Halloween, I understand that is a big deal for you guys. But then in no time at all you get thanksgiving, then you get Christmas, then you get New Year.
Not that I am bitter, but I don't think we get enough bank holidays here in England! We only get a handful of days off, and if we really wanted to, there is tons of history which we could celebrate or remember.
Culture, isn't it great that there is so much of it about?!
