Are these the end of times or just a passing phase ?

Many believe the present condition of the world are a sign of the end of times.They believe these are the conditions prophesied in the bible and it is only a matter of time before the world is no more. These persons point to the numerous wars,unprecedented levels of crime ,finanial crises,famines and disasters.They say these conditions were accurately predicted in the bible and they can be certain that it is only a matter of time before the end of times which was also predicted comes.They say the bible predit with almost pin point accuracy the chronological order of these conditions and that is the basis for their faith.Consequently persons like this will never lift an hand to change the immediate conditions because they believe that is futile and they await the ushering in of a new world which was also predicted. Other feel that this is purely coincidental and these conditions can change.They are actively trying to find solutions that will usher in change.. Where do you weigh in on this debate ACTIVIST OR PACIFIST ?
