working at a fast food restaurant!

OMGSH! i dont know what happened to me but i went to work today (im a cashier) and its sunday so we are really busy. It was only about 11:00am -1:00pm and we had a rush and i got 3 voids. it was so terrible it was only 3 employees and 1 manager in at the time and people we coming on walk up and drive thru. I WAS THE ONLY CASHIER you guys! its was terrible.i had no break today! i dont know what was going on with me i felt sooooo stupid because bad thinks have been happening to me lately so a lot was going through my mind. this was the worst that happened since i worked there.I dont think i can do fast food any more after i stop this job! im young i dont even need a job right now but im not going to quit because im almost old enough to be on my own and i want to be bigger than the people i know. it my first job ive been working there for over 5 month(oh! time for my raise!) but im used to getting money now and i feel like i cant quit and plus i can get more experince! I believe i would fatheer be in fashion stores. I plan to go to school for fashion merchandising degree and hope i can get that far!

Hi Aniqua! Poor thing! Sorry for the bad day that you had. I know how terrible it is because I used to work in the coffee shop in the morning and I used to open by myself. It happened so many times that the staff who supposed to work as the second person didn't came. It was so terrible. The customers came like crazy and they expected to be served quickly because some of them was in a rush to go to the office and school. I had my muffin and cookies baked in the oven so I had to be aware of that too because I don't want to burn it and after that I have to display all the products by 7.30! I wished I had 6 hands lol at that time.
Working in the hospitality industry is hard especially when you have to deal with food and customers. Have you had bad experience with the rude customers? Hope you're not. It was terrible! I guess in the future it's better for you to do the fashion merchandising if you're really like it. But at the moment, working in the fast food will give you experience and also a bit of pocket money so you don't have to depend on your parents all the time. That's excellent! Well done..

see you might have had it worst but were in the same shoe. But of coarse i always have rude customers. its soo terrible i try my best to stay polite. other people at my job get attitudes but i stay polite on my job because i have respect. even i can be sooo mad i still try to keep my voice calm!
