Hunchback of Notre Dame

Has anyone else read the Hunchback of Notre Dame? I recently started reading it, but it seems to progress so slow for me. I suppose that's because I've only just reached the "Second Book". But I'm having second thoughts about reading it.
Should I continue to read it?

hello murine :-) yeah i have read the book way back when i was in college and loved it. the book is owned by my roomamate and i read it whenever i am bored at the dorm. it is definitely a classic and a masterpiece for me. though i admit it can be pretty boring sometimes. but the book has so much to offer, mystery, romance, history, social problems, etc...i love victo hugo..he is a genius.
