If you're from Northern cali, which part of Nor Cal is better, the Bay or the Valley?

I am originally from Nor Cal. I just moved from there.
I grew up in the Bay but spent the last couple of years living in the Valley (Stockton, Lodi area). I have to say that I like the Bay a hell of alot more. There is much more to do and things just seem more exciting there.
