There is information spreading all across the internet that someone named John Hanson was actually the first Black president in the US. Obviously, folks have it all wrong. When you reseach, you will find several Hansons and none were Black presidents in the US. Has anyone ever heard of this?

I have not heard this rumor, but obviously it is false. I'm pretty sure that out of an entire nation, at least ONE person would've corrected us. If you're familiarwith the presidents, all you have to do is go down the list to discover that notone "John Hanson" is on it. Now, I do know that there have been other black men run for presidency, but they have never made it past primaries. Obama IS the first black president and people should just accept it, deal with it, and buckle up for the ride for the next 4 years.

Yes, I have.
The book is called the 5 Negro Presidents published in 1965 by J.A. Rogers. You can also find information online using the search criteria The 5 Black Presidents of the United States.

Just do not be fooled, though, it is a myth. There have been some rumors about former presidents having some Black roots but alot of this has not been proven. I am sure if they were able to substantiate this, none of those guys would have been president. Believe that.

Yes I have heard it. To hear it tell, he is the seventh. There are supposedly other Presidents that have a trace or so of black blood in them. Most notably, Warren Harding, who it has been whispered about a lot back in the 1920s. I also heard that Calvin Coolidge was as well.
