parents as a friend

Yeah, I agree with you. It's good that the parents can be the kids' friends, then the parents can always share their experiences with the kids, and the kids can always tell stories about themselves to their parents. From this kind of closed communication, both know each other well, and the kids will grow up much healthier and happier. Also, the parents will be happier to stay with the kids too.

It is important to us parents to be friendly with our children. Because some kids do not tell the truth to their parents about what is happening to them. Children are very secretive about their feelings and because their parents are strict they rather kept their problems inside and better tell it to their friends out there. So, when it happen they become closer to their friends but some of them not are good. That is the beginning of much bigger problem to handle. Anyway, let us try to attend our children needs not only for money but most important is their emotional situations. Ask them how is he/she. What is the problem and talk about their personal feelings. Let us be their friends forever!

I think it is great when a parent can be a kids friend because then a kid will confide in them more. There is a time when a parent needs to step out of that roll and let the child know that they are still the parents and still rule the roost. So many times parents think oh they are all boy and or oh isn't that cute when theydo something that really they should but the child was so small the parents thought was cute. There is a time and a place to be a childs friends. As a friend you can be there for them as a parent you can guide them so yes a parent should be both friend and parent.

the friends come from the understanding.when your parents know about what you arethinking ,they are your friends.but the dont understand your thoughts,they will against your idea and suggestion, so they are just your parents.act as a friend act as a parent,it is a question.
