My favorite would have to be interacting with computers or other devices with your brain. There's a company that will soon (within the next month or two) start selling their Emotiv Epoc headset that recognizes 14 cognitive states (such as up, down, left, disappear, push, etc.), emotional states, and facial positions. With this kind of technology the immobile can move and the mute can speak (Well, sort of. They place electrodes on the neck I believe, and the nerve signals to the vocal cords can be picked up. But it works and uses the same technology). It's going to be interesting to see what kind of applications pop up from this brain interface technology in the future.
(For the record, the headset is $300.00, comes with a game to hone your mental abilities, a wireless headset, and a bunch of software, including software to map thought patterns to key presses so you can use the headset in existing applications. And yes, I plan on buying one. ;))

Amazing choice! I remember reading about some of the earlier developments of that technology. They say it takes a bit of getting used to, but after you think something like "jump" enough exactly the same way then it will eventually come naturally. haha. I dont know if i play enough games to want to get one, but id love to see that technology get somewhere. It could come in handy.

Interesting response, The control + F command, (apple + F on a mac) is a very useful tool indeed. Not exactly a piece of technology I was hoping to talk about, but a good topic none the less. I use it all the time to find a specific part of a webpage I am looking for. Normally a name on Wikipedia or IMDB. If anyone else has something to say it would be great.
