How early do you put your Christmas tree up?

Guess what? I have my Christmas tree up already! It wasn't my idea though. My husband decided he wanted to put it up today. I normally put the Christmas tree up the day after Thankgsgiving but there wasn't any telling him no on this. Don't get me wrong--I love Christmas and I like having my tree up early. It gives us more time to enjoy the tree. Our kids had a great time today. I was just wondering how long before Christmas some of you get decorated.

LOL Your post made me laugh. I have a cat but he doesn't bother the tree. The reason why I laughed is because when I got up this morning with my daughter for school, my tree was lying across the floor. It wasn't my cat--it was our dog trying to get into the window and knocked it over. So there I was taking about a half hour to fix it. I was so mad but after reading your response, it made me laugh about it.

usually its up when they start selling the trees here but if we use our fake tree its up three weeks befor christmas and down a week after

We don't use a real tree and that's why it gets put up early. If we did, it would wait quite a bit closer to Christmas. I normally wait until after New Year to take it down but there were a couple of years it came down the next day.

ya i know what you mean after so long of a christmas tree being there tho it gets to be in the way. now the real question is about christmas lights because no one ever wants to take them down

We wait until December. To be honest, our pumpkin is still out in the hallway from Halloween.

LOL...That's funny about the pumpkin. We didn't do pumpkins this year because our kids don't really want anything to do with carving pumpkins and my husband and I hate doing it. We have had some sit for quite a while in the past!

I think because people here love the aura of christmas and try merging it with valentines day heheh

Wow, that's a long time for us! I like to have mine up early but after a while, I want my living room back. I think that's really neat though. Thanks for sharing!

We put our tree up some time after Thanksgiving if we go away for the holiday. We have put it up on Thanksgiving Day before too. Last year I didn't put it up at all. I didn't want to mess with it when I knew we were going to be gone through New Years anyway. We are putting it up this year though because our two year old is fascinated with the Christmas decorations at the store.

Our youngest is 2 years old and he doesn't remember Christmas last year. Now after seeing trees and decorations in the stores, he's excited about it. It's funny hearing him say Christmas too. He talks about the Christmas tree all the time and sometimes he calls it an apple tree because he calls all trees apple trees and I have no idea why. LOL

crap i havent had a xmas tree up since... omg i dont know how many years!! too much of a hassle and i dont wnat to worry about my pets breaking my ornaments since my one cat never has seen one and my dog is huge and clumsy.. im not a xmas person anyways haha.. if i had kids i may be but when you grow up its boring..
