It must be the onset of winter...

I've been feeling pretty lousy. Don't even want to be on the computer. Sinus headaches, aching legs, back and even feet are bringing me misery. And all I feel like doing is sleep. I have gotten so behind on the computer and I have so many things I need to write but I just can't settle myself to focus on anything.
We had some cold weather, then some really warm weather last week, and now we're back to cold and have seen some snow. I guess the barometer is all over the place and messing with me. I had a dream the other night that I got my book published. I woke up so wanting that to happen but I just can't bring myself to do anything (except laundry!) I really haven't felt this crappy in a long time. Hence me being more absent than present on this board.
Anyone else being affected by these weather fluctuations? (if you are having them).

Sorry to hear you're not feeling too well Pat. The weather has been like that here in VA as well. I had some time off last week and weekend so I was able to catch up on some much needed cleaning of the house, especially laundry. My moods have been up and down too and I'm sure it's the weather that's making me feel like this. It's a little colder today but we have people coming in to check on the sprinklers and stuff for the next three days - annoying because not sure when they will get here (times stated was between 8am-4pm).
My son is a little under the weather since Sunday so I kept him home from school today. As soon as he gets rid of one cold he picks up another. Haven't managed to get him a flu shot yet but will once this cold goes away.
hope you feel better soon!

I get a flu shot each year as does my father.
I am my fathers caregiver and I also have bronchial asthma.
So I am at a great risk of the flu.
I have not missed a shot in 5 years now.
Have not had the flu either.

I have only had a flu shot many years ago. My son and hubby have never had one either but with the way my son catches colds and flu, I think he needs one. This is his second bout of the flu :( nasty things they are!

Hi
I was diagnosed w/ fibro this summer after nearly 2 yrs of tests. We all know that story too well!!
I became very depressed and started seeing a physcologist. She taught me this very simple method called EFT. you can find it online. It was discovered by a man
named Gary Craig. www.garycraig@emofree.com.
You can download the manual for free. They sell a dvd but it is pricey.
Just go to page 19 of the manual and it shows you the tapping points. The emails if you sign up for them are quite informative. They also help to teach you the process. It is actually accupuncture w/o the needles.
Bottom line....this has made a huge difference in my daily pain levels. I am very impressed so far. If you have any questions...you can email me at
spicer04846@gmail.com. I am not a teacher or anything just my own experience.
A final note...am on gabapentin, and cymbalta as well.

The tapping thing is something counselors use, too.
Would not have believed it if it hadn't worked on me.
I had a bad person in my past that just stayed in my mind. When we were discussing this, we did the tapping method and thought about particular things. Sure enough, that image is gone.
Glad you got diagnosis, but 2 years is still too long. We've known since 2000 what the symptoms are and how to test, diagnose and relieve the symptoms.
Just a lot of people who want your money are lying about it.

Yeah, I always feel like hibernating this time of year. How are your B12 levels? I had mine checked recently and they were pretty low, considering most foods these days are vitamin-enriched. I'm feeling a bit more energetic since taking 1000mg of B12 daily.

I do take a B-Complex vitamin. I am also reaching the age where my body is making changes (IYKWIM). I had a physical last week and have yet to get the blood tests. 14-hour fasts are hard for me. I'll probably get it done tomorrow though. Got to get a bone density test too.

I was taking B-Complex, too, but evidently it wasn't enough. Check the label, you'll see the amount of B12 is nowhere near the 1000mg my doc prescribed... he even suggested 1200mg if I could find it.

Hey pat! Yea, I have been having some of the same lousy symptoms
and haven't been able to put my finger on it. I'm here in NY
and we have been having some strange weather too. I was telling
my boyfriend the same thing that I have been really bothered
by my sinuses lately and pains in my knees and feet and not
feeling like doing anything and tired and wanting to sleep
during the day. It has been unseasonably warm the last week
and now the temperature is dropping and I know it isn't going
to get warm again and it is due for the cold weather to start
and they also mentioned snow flurries. So this is it! Winter
is just about ready to start! And then it will be her for
the next four months or so. I hope it isn't really cold and
snowy but from what I've heard it is going to be really cold
again this year. I don't know about the snow yet. I hope your
book thing comes out for you. Maybe your dream will come true!

I am hoping these symptoms aren't because of the cold, but a reaction to the sudden changes. That is, I hope I'm not going to feel like this all winter. LOL!
As for the book dream, I don't think it was a prediction. More like a motivator or message to get my butt in gear.

I've had an inch of snow here in Minnesota already.
I have bronchial asthma so this type of change in the
weather reaks havoc on me breathing wise.
I've had the sinus headache etc for a few weeks now.
It is a steady cold now here in Minnesota till April or so.
So I am hunkered down and ready for the illness3es that come with the cold and snow. Just to warm you up how about a photo of some Minnesotan fall colors?
This is me at a pond at a local Nature Center near my house.

sounds like your Fibro is causing all that.
weather can make it worse, but you can do something about it. every symptom.
you just need to know why and what to do.
read www.FibroFix.com Treatment is pretty straightforward outline.
if you do it like we do it, you should get the same results we get.

I understand completely. I have been feeling extra lousy lately myself. I think a couple of factors are the weather which has been cold and the house I stay in has no insulation and is very cols even if you put on two or three covers. Also Have been sleeping on an air mattress that loses air during the night so I wake up very achy and stiff and you should see me try to roll out of bed! Then because the bed is in a common area of the house I have to let it down and fold up 4 covers. By the time I do all that I am ready to get back in the bed. It is so frustrating!
