I read the guidelines before I signed up and refer to it every now and then when in doubt. I know that responding to those who reply to your discussions has no points but I do it because I want my commenters to know that I have read their responses. We're not only here to learn but to gain friends as well. What a better place the world would be if we don't think solely of money. Cheers and happy holidays.

When I first joined I skimmed through them very briefly but when I got one of my very first discussions deleted I investigated more thoroughly. Now I am aware of many things which I should have noticed fromt the start. many parts are for our own benefit (like where it says not to post personal info in discussions). I can see who has not read them everytime a 'milestone' discussion gets posted and many respond . They also update them occasionally so even if you read them at the start it's best to check back over them every now and then too.

I read the guidelines when I signed up here, but I only remembered a few of the things I read. As some of my posts have been deleted, I guess I broke some of the rules without knowing it. I also read the FAQ, but I didn't remember much of that, either. So I still check those pages sometimes, if there is a part about MyLot which I can't figure out. I prefer to read all the rules at first, then after a while when I have a bit more experience, I read them again. It is easier to understand the rules when I have some experience using the site.

Hello hitejam89 When I joined here, the first thing I looked up is mylot's Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) and terms of service. That's the first thing I read before signing up so that I would know what kind of site I am joining to, how would I start here, what will i do, and to know their so as not to violate them. I think most of the members here are doing the same. You will not join a site where you don't know what you are going to do.

I did, and still do. I checked this wedsite out before I just signed up. I don't like signing up for things and finding out that it's not what I expected, so I read into it first. I still read the FAQs and Guidelines because I do admit I tend to skim things first. I mean this site really didn't ask for real sensitive information so I didn't read everything. But I do want to abide to the rules probably more so because mostly everyone on here does. It really seems like a community of adults and I'm not talking about age. Everyone on here seems real responsible, respectful and genuine. I think it's a big part of why I keep up my posting. Did you?

Wow, you are amazing, even i still read guidelines, FAQs as i didnt read in the begining and i think exactly same about lotters, they all seem so responsible, respectable and geniune, but i like the most about mylotters is that, they are very friendly. cheers!! thankyou for replying kaui Happylotting

I'm pretty sure I did not read everything, though I did read the Do's and Don'ts, as well as skimmed through the terms of use agreement. If I would have tried to read it all it probably would have discouraged me from joining the site as I was anxious to see if mylot really did pay just for participating in discussions. Not to mention I'd never be able to remember it all anyway! LOL

Hi there hitejam. I have read the Guidelines and the Terms of Service but i skipped the FAQ, as i am not at my first forum and i know my basics. I would suggest that all new members read the TERMS OF SERVICE, as many just come here and start posting old topics that have already been posted in the past, and post them over and over again just so they get attention.

I am an impatient person. For this kind of website, I seldom read the faqs and guidelines. Unless it is something very technical, only then I will read step by step. I guess I can learn about Mylot just by opening a discussion. This will be much more fun to read the reply for the question you posted other than reading the already there answer. Due too there is too much to read, most preferably to ask on the specific doubt to mylotter for direct answers.

hi cocooreo, you are right we can learn more by opening a discussion and it is fun when we ask question and somebody answer it, i actually did that. but i dont think any of the mylotters (including me) have read all the faqs, guidelines or term and conditions of mylot, everybody must have skipped some part, that is because of the very reason you gave, there is too much to read and its boring. Thankyou for reply cocooreo Happylotting.

Before joining i read a bit of both FAQ and Guidelines. I had a general idea since it was somewhat similar to Yahoo Answers which you DONT get paid for.. posting and answering... no abuse no multiple questions, topics in appropriate category. The rating system is a bit diffrent and i couldnt figure out how it worked i surfed through some discussions and asked some of my new friends here as well =) So no i didnt really read all there was to read before i joined lol
