Philippines is said to be the texting capital in the world, however even though my bills are higher, i prefer video and voice calls over text messaging. I feel not contented with it because i cannot communicate well with it, sometimes the respose are delayed. I lost one client once because of this so it served as a lesson for me. Have you ever found yourself in this situation? Which will you choose SMS or calls?

i use to love, actually we, it's a bunch of us, smsing, then was back then when we still in high school. so during the night when we dont c each other, we would sms and chat a bit. but not anymore, i believe it is because I dont have the time anymore. even i do sms, that must be because i know i shouldn't disturb this person by calling him/her

I'd rather call but of course, prolonged talks would mean big bucks... and texts are cheaper. If it is about work, I'd rather call. What I usually do first is to text.If the person does not answer my text within a few hours, I I call directly and I won stop until I talk to them. I do not rely on text alone.

Well we have to save money, if you are from the philippines, there are unlimited texting, but there are unlimited calls too. I use unlimited text and calls in one of my phones and i call more often than text on it. the other phome networks have a different system, i text more on them. it depends upon the siruation.

For me it depends on the situation. If there is a case where urgency is required, a voice call would be the most appropriate as in cases such as this we might need to give clear instructions to the other person and voice calls also allow the other person to ask relevant questions and the time taken to do all this is normally short.
If we were to use Text Messaging, the other person might have read the message wrongly or misinterpreted the message altogether. To have a question and answer session would be impractical when the message is urgent.
Voice call might work under this situation but then the cost and the availability of the services might make it a less preferred option.
If the situation does not require urgent actions, then it is okay to just use Text Messages to convey our messages to the other person and we can take time to clarify matters just by sending messages back and forth.
As far as the video call is concerned, I only use it when necessary. A recent example was when a friend of mine wanted to get something from IKEA and the product came in different colors and patterns. By using a video call, I managed to show her the exact products for her to choose instead of me making a wrong choice.
Cheers!

thats very true my friend, there are times we really need to call, text are like telegrams, sometimes there could be miscommunications, in business talks just like yours, texting is not advisable, i lost one client once because my text response was delayed. These does not happen in calls because we respond right away. :)
