hi friend, now, i just treat it with the normal heart.I think we couldn't control all members' feelings and interests,we just post the new topic/discussion with our own opinions.we don't care about the other too much.Because different people have different interests.so just post the idea with your own way, thus, whatever there is people respond it or not,we will feel comfortable and nature.isn't it?
happy mylotting.
good luck

I have several with no responses or a few responses still. It somehow bothers me, but I don't think about it. I mean, it's not your fault that people don't think your topic is worth responding to, right?
Plus, there are multiple number of topics that have the same line of thought. So, I wouldn't be expecting people to answer my topic.
So, there it goes, I don't sweat it too, like most of the responders say.
This is the main reason that I'd rather respond than open topics.
Cheers!

I feel disappointed and keep hoping someone will answer it. But, so far I only have one unanswered question. Sometimes I use another discussion and paste the link to my unanswered discussion. It helps sometimes. But I don't do that anymore now. Just remember to start a discussion everyone or most people can answer easily without too much thinking.
Good luck on Mylot!

Well keep in mind that you are new here and making friends will let them see new discussions you started. Also, don't worry about it binkam it takes time sometimes for people to respond to your discussion. It took a long while before someone responded to my discussion because it was a specific computer related question. So people might not answer because simply they don't know what to say that would be of help for you.
By the way if you answer in other people's discussions and someone is interested in something you say you might get friend invites and they will start looking through your posted discussions as well ;)
Take care

A lot depends on the time and day as well as who is online when yous tart a discussion. Sometimes there are a lot of discussions and time might be a factor in how many members can respond to. Other days it seems that there are not a lot of discussions which interest me, so I end up logging out. I am sure that this must apply to other members too and it could very easily be that some good ones are missed.
I am here erratically, due to work committments, so do not start many discussions really but the few that I did start did not get many responses at all. Yes that can be disappointing I admit but it is a matter of forgetting about it and going onto the next discussion.
Sometimes when time permits I check the discussions of my friends to see if they have any without a response. If they do and the subject appeals to me and I can add something that I think is worthwhile, then I will respond.

Welcome to mylot. Once we have some experience here and make friends we do get quite a few responses to our discussions. But if we do not get responses there is nothing we can do. Wait for responses and in the mean time post responses to others discussions.

You got to produce a lot of discussions...like kissing frogs, to find one that works really good.

Well I usually do not think about it. Sometimes a discussion I satrted months ago is suddenly responded to...for no good reason. Not every discussion is interesting and you would be surprised with which one is most popular.

I dont mind it, I like responding to other discussions more than start8ng my own anyway.
