How to stop junk mails on yahoo?

I am a member of yahoo from a long time & used to get junk mails like You have won, Invitation to join a group & so on. But now recently these mails have increased in number & I am fed up deleting them from my inbox, because inspite of spamming them, they keep on coming in my inbox & my important mails go into Bulk folder. I have also opened a new account on yahoo, but the same problem. I have an account on rediff & yahoo, but there I get less junk mails. But as I am much used to yahoo & my most friends are on yahoo, I still want to use yahoo, but without spams. What do you suggest to stop these junk mails? Please help!!!

usually you can mark the emails as spam, this will move the emails from your inbox to the spam box. you can also try banning their email address from sending you anything if all else fails, just start a new email account

First of thanks KupoSin! I tried to ban these few sites, but each time they send from a different id & I don't know why but I when I move them to spam, my some important mails also come to spam & that's why I have to read all the spams also for any imp mails. Yes, I have opened a new account also but still spams harass me there.
