The lakers are a strong team. But Artest coming over should make them much better. They do have a few key injuries. Shane battier is out, and he's probably their top defender next to artest. You need that tough defense to compete. It's not just abnout scoring. When Artest came over, I said now they have Mcgrady,Yao, and Artest. They got 2 high scorers allready, and now that you add Artest, you get another scorer and a lock down deffender. But Mcgrady isn't %100 right now. And I think he's starting to slow down with all these injuries he's had over the last few years. I said last year that the rockets are cursed, because Mcgrady and Yao haven't played a full season together yet. One of them allways goes down at some point on the season. Last year Yao went down right when the playoffs started, and I think the year before that Mcgrady went down in the playoffs. The Rockets never seem to get these 2 to stay healthy enough to play together for an entire season. If you're a Rockets fan, you might as well get your Lakers tickets for the finals, cause it seems like they are set to be competeing for another title this year. I don't see any team in the western conference right now that's has a roster as deep as theirs. When you think about the big three superstars in houston, you automatically think of them as a strong force in the west, but it doesn't allways work out that way. Look at the Yankees. Lok at the superstar players they've brought in over the last several seasons. When you look at the names of the players on their roster, it looks real good on paper. People walk around saying "those guys have an allstar team of their own". and that was the joke a few years ago. Everyone said it would be the National league vs the yankees at the allstar game. But they have been loosing for a few years now. Just because it looks good on paper doesn't mean it will work out the way you expect it. I wouldn't get my hopes down about the Rockets. It's very early in the season, and one player sometimes does make a differnce. I think when shane Battier comes back it will take alot of pressure off Artest. Cause right now Artest is using all his energy on both sides of the court. He scores alot of points and he's playing hard nosed deffense. But it's hard to do both for an entire game.

This team is lack of spirit, I really don't know who is core, I wish you can tell me. T-mac could have been but he is hurt easily, Yao? Oh ,Are you kidding me? He is less healthy than T-mac. Because of his records, Artest is never considered in any team. I think it is the point why Houston has never passed the first round in playoff.

its just the start of the season, there are alot of adjustments to be made and artest has not fully adjusted himself in the houston offense. and their franchise player Tmac is not fully healthy yet. and Yao ming is not really himself right now.
