if your partner cheated on you, will you still forgive and accept him/her?

Years ago I gave someone a second chance but I don't think anything can ever be the same once someone has cheated on you in fact for me it changed my whole life, seeing as it was a boyfriend and a best friend who did wrong by me, it turned a very shy trusting person into a non-trusting suspicious person, it does change you because you never can't really trust 100% again...
