Do you have any wives' tales about pregnancy?

In my country, when a woman is with child, she is refrain from cutting or chopping chicken/meat for fear that the baby will be born deformed. Another one is that if she wants a smooth delivery, she have to drink coconut oil when she is about to deliver. Do you have any wives' tale to share here?

Yes in the US we have one that I kinda remember although Im not sure wheich way it goes. if you carry a baby high it is supposed to mean a boy (or a girl) not sure which and the same goes for if you carry a baby low. it means just the opposite of high. lol
