The price of LCD monitor is coming down day day.. If we looking perspective of budget it is coming handy to the common people... If we get a sleek display in a normal price who will go for these bulky monitors....

If I have the option, I would choose LCD display. As many of us know, it consumes lesser electricity. Apart from that it also uses lesser space. We have a computer that uses CRT (Cathode-Ray Tube) at home. It could have used lesser electricity if it uses LCD
LCD make laptop possible since we can't use a laptop which uses a CRT. lol
LCD is also flat screen which make it more convenient for use. For those who are health conscious, LCD emits lesser radiation. CRT emits a lot of electromagnetic radiation.

Pardon me but I think what you meant is an LCD or CRT not a desktop. For me I prefer LCD monitors since it does not generate too much heat and consumes less electricity compared to CRT.

Hi Friends!
Top 10 Reasons Why I like LCDs.
They are cute.
They take less space.
They consume less power, so we can save energy.
They are better for your eyes than CRT.
They are more portable.
I can turn it to my Boss or friend to show my work or favourite video.
Easy to clean and maintain.
They survive more in case of accidents(if my little brother pour a cup of tea etc. :) ).
Radiation level is low.
Complaints are rare.
Thanks Happy MyLoting... :)

If given the choice to choose between an LCD monitor or a CRT one which is mostly common for desktop computers, I would have to weigh the odds. I mean, LCD screens consume less electricity when it comes to CRT monitors though their capability is less in displaying 3D graphics that CRT monitors are good at.
If I want to save some electricity consumptions, I'd go for LCDs but, if I need a monitor that is able to display things in good quality, I'd go for those CRT types..

I would go for the LCD. Because it uses less power and it doesn't harm the eyes (no radiation).

I used to use a desktop screen and did not see the need for an LCD screen - now I have switched to an LCD screen because I got a laptop and use it instead of a desktop, and I much prefer the LCD screen. The image is clearer because I am always looking straight at the screen. There are no reflections of light from behind me, and my eyes ache much less when I am reading lengthy things because there is not as much glare. In general the LCD screen has been a very good thing for me and my eyes, and I would not want to switch back to a regular desktop now.

LCD are nice but I hate how if you look at the wrong angles the colors go screwy plus I'm kinda of old school that way. Big and bulky that's just the way I like it.
