I am still getting text messages from this mysterious person. So, I have contacted Law Enforcement on this. I gave them the text messages that the person have been leaving on my cell phone. The person is an Sprint PCS mobile customer. I have contacted Sprint about this issue.. I told them what has been going on, and they have instructed me to contact the police about that. They say that when I do this, then the police will be able to get an name and number to whom has been calling me. The text message that the person sent to me said: Hey Bryan. The other message said: Fwd: Your only as cool on how many times you been to juvie. So send this to all your juvie friends.
What in the world are they talking about??? Who in the world is juvie? I have never heard of this word in my entire life. Are you familiar with what this word means? I hope that since the police are involved that they will put an stop to the prank calls once and for all! I have left a few voice messages on this phone asking whom they are. But, they will only text me.. One time they told me that their name was Whitney Bryan. But, then just the other day, they texted me saying Hey Bryan.. That does not make any sense! All they do is text.. I will leave a voice message, and they will never return my phone call so that I can hear their own personal voice. So, I have gotten to the point to no longer put up with it.. I don't know whom is doing this. But, I hope to find out very soon from the local police. Just because they are not threatening me or using profanity, does not mean that they are not harassing me. With them continuing to call and never directly speak to me, after I have told them numerous times that they have the wrong number, is an episode of harassment. I have even asked them to tell me who they are calling for, but they never will. By them telling me, I am able to know whom they are calling for. But since they will not give me the name, then I will figure that they are still playing mind games.. I don't know whom this person is, but hopefully they will leave me alone.. I am glad to have done this.. Even though it may seem like a simple innocent prank, I still feel threatened by the text messages.. Even if they don't sound threatening.. Just this person calling me for no reason is a bid odd. Anything like this, I take great precaution. These days we just have to be very careful when it comes to our lives.. Even if it is just small things.. And what makes it more eerie is that this person has an local cell phone number that is local to the area code where I am at.. I never get messages as this.. I only have been receiving text messages of the weather notifying me of the weather for that day for my city and state that is about all. I have many telemarketers calling for a Sandra Brown. But these are all 1-800 numbers or long distant numbers.. But, not like the number that has been calling my cell phone leaving weird text messages.. This number that is calling me is every bit as local as my cell phone number.. The question is, who is calling me, and what is the real purpose for their calls??????

Lots of questions arise while reading your discussion. Did you call back to know the identity of the person? If not, you may consider calling back to know who the person is. I have seen most of the time the calls/messages come from someone known to you, and not from any stranger.
In a recent event, my sister was disturbed by such calls. We get to identify that guy, and forced him to give a written declaration that such acts will never be repeated by him in his own hand. We told him that the declaration will be submitted to local police station, if he deviates from his word.
Since then more than three months is over, and she does not receive any disturbing calls till date.
So, you might consider identifying the mystery message sender at the first instance; this will also help the cops to take stringent action.

That is what I have been trying to do since they have been calling me. This person gave me a name of Whitney Bryan.. But, I don't believe them at all. I have personally called them from my home number and they will not answer their phone. So, I will leave a voice message asking them who they are, and what is their name, and whom they are looking for.. They will never really tell me. They just keep texting me. They will not even answer their phone so that I can hear their voice.. It is like they are trying to be very mysterious about their identity.. Sprint PCS will not give out the callers information to me. They are an Sprint customer. The only way that I can get this information is if, the police will request it.. I am hoping to hear from them soon about this..

I think if you feel threatened then you did the right thing calling the police. They are also wasting your minutes which is costing you money. I'd go as far as trying to get compensated for the waste of money and time. Good luck to you getting this resolved.

they're refering to juvenal hall-where states send kids under 17 that get in trouble.that sounds to me you got a kid calling you with a way wrong number if he's
even talking about that place.

Juvie is indeed juvenile hall. Sometimes the news people use that term, lol. I bet you it's an utterly bored kid. But yes, since you made numerous attempts to make this stop and don't seem to be able to block this or the number, it's the right thing to get the police involved. However, since this is non-emergent as it is not threatening, they'll take a while to get the phone records from Sprint to find out whose number(s) the messages come from.
What just occured to me, does your ex know your cell number? He might just try to mess with your head... Just a thought. The police will find out soon enough.
Anyhow, please keep us updated.

Well, he could be using somebody else's phone or gotten himself a second or new one without you knowing. It would explain why nobody will speak with you. It was just a thought. In any case it's something stupid to do and I hope you'll get the police to stop him/her from doing it again.

That is like really scary. I am so glad that you called the police and everything is getting figured out. As for juvie, it is short for juvenial hall, where kids go if they get arrested, which means this person must be a teenager. That is even weirder that they are by you. Chills. What is the latest on this, I want to know, worrysome, hehe.

Well just the other day, I received yet another text message saying, Hey wuz up dude. So, I called them back, and told them that I will be going to police, and for them to get ready for the police to be knocking at their door.. I told them that they have the wrong number.. And since they did not want to tell me whom they were, I was assuming that they are playing on the phone..

A few years back my husband and I moved to PA and both got new phone numbers. The night he got his he started getting beeps - it was a nextel phone you know the kind that you can walky talky some one.
This person would walky talky otherwise called beep my husband. Its started out as nothing but by the next day we had received a ton of beeps we asked the person not to beep any more we also told the person that they ahd the wrong number.
We went to the police after it got really bad and the person started to threaten us. He just so happened to beep us while we were with the police. The officer talked to him and the guy freaked out. Started calling the officer all kinds of things and saying you aren't a cop.
In the end Nextel wouldn't do anything to the person who was beeping us or for us. At the polices suggetsion because as they said there is nothing we can do about it we had the number changed.
My suggestion to you is figure out a way to get another number the police really can't do any thing about it and Sprint DEFIANTLY isn't going to do any thing about it. Good luck!

Thanks for telling me this! I have not heard anything from the prank caller yet. I have checked my phone and there has been no call for them.. I am hoping that then police has called them to warn them not to call me anymore.. But, I am not going to get too happy yet.. There may be another way and plot that this caller may have to annoy me.. I will ignore it.. I will have to change my number sooner or later..

I'm sure someone has told you by now that juvie refers to the juvenile justice system. When a juvenile was held for awhile, they went to Juvenile Hall, commonly called "juvie"..the "tough" kids considered it a badge of pride to have been in juvie!
Why don't you change your phone number?

Yes, I have been told this... When I saw juvie on my cell phone as an text message, I could not figure out what it meant.. I spent minutes trying to figure out what this word and message meant. When I posted this discussion on myLot, I was able to get an answer.. I was slapping myself upside the head... Because of course, juvie means juvenile hall. I will not change my number.. I will not let someone drive me away.. If it becomes serious, I may do so.

Juvie is Juvienal Hall. I would be as frustrated as you are! Every since I got a new phone number this summer as I switched carriers I have gotten collection calls for the same guy. It happens almost every day! My cell is my only phone, don't have a home phone so it's frustrating when all day and evening I get calls. I can't even count the number of companies I have had to tell he isn't at my number but because my phone is my only phone it's hard to keep changing it as it's my only contact. I hope the police get your issue sorted and quickly!

Yes, I am experiencing the same thing.. I have many calls a day for a woman named Sandra Brown.. Bill collectors stay calling her.. They will leave messages and all. So, I will never bother responding back. I have also been keeping my phone turned off all day. So that way when they call for her, they will get my voice message. I have even had to tell a few of the collectors that they have the wrong number, but they still continued to call. That is why I don't bother answering my phone..

Bro you need to calm down. All it is is just some dumb game kids text each other. I'm sure it's just some ten year old kid who's accidently typing in your number. And juvie means juvenile detention. So obviously the kid is underage. I wouldn't call the cops if I were you because you would probably end up looking kind of strange. Just text the number back and tell them your going to call the cops but dont actually do it, and then see if they stop. If they don't you should really call the cops.

I am a sis.. I have texted them with an 911 text.. This was warning them, that if they continue to call me, I will take action to go to the police. So, they still continued to harass me, and that is why the police are now involved. So, I have done the right thing..

I am glad that finally you have taken action and you have contacted the police. I hope that they will put an end to all this. I have followed your earlier post about this subject. I would have taken an easier way, I would just change my cell phone number to cut it short. I do admire your determination.

Have you thought to tell Sprint PCS to give you a new phone number? They can do that, and I would think that they'd be obligated to do so.

I wish they could, but they can't.. I have an pre paid cell phone under Nokia Net 10. I will have to at least contact Nokia about this.. The person that keeps calling me is an Sprint Carrier.. I am hoping that the police will be able to release the person whom is calling me in an prank matter..

Sounds like some kids playing a prank because the word juvie means juvenile hall which is a jail for kids under the age of 18. You did the right thing by calling the police for only they can put a stop to these annoying calls. Some kids have nothing better to do than to be a pain in the behind so understand that you're a victim here not the one who's doing anything wrong because you're doing everything right. Good luck!!

They could have a number that they've entered incorrectly. They could be deaf or someone with a text-only service package. Juvie refers to a type of prison where young offenders go instead of general lockup. You've probably had these answers given by others already, I haven't reviewed the whole thread.
I would suggest simply changing your phone number. It sounds like the person thinks the number they are texting is this Bryan fellow.

Hey cream! Oh you poor thing! Don't worry! The police will
track this person down! They will be able to find them from
their phone number and get their name and address and they
will be in pleny of trouble. I can tell you that "Juvie" is
a slang name for "Juvenille" or a detention hall or jail for
underage offenders or minors. So the person is referring to
jail or a detention hall or some type place that someone who
is underage that committed some type of crime would be held
in. So the police will definitely be very intereste in this
person believe me! You did the right thing. This person is
harrassing you and that is a criminal offense! So if they are
underage the will end up in a Juvenille detention center!
Just let the police do their job! This person can't hurt you.
The don't know who you are or where you are. They just have
your phone number so don't be scarred!
