Also i tried my son with toast today and he just played with it he did not want to eat it but when i gave him a piece of my fried bread he loved it! he will eat fried bread but not toast how do i take this? is there a healthy way to make fried bread? my son loves it but its just all that oil, i always dab my oily foods with bounty before putting them on my plate but i just dont think my son could handle all the oil please would you post me some suggestions and secrets of the kitchen to put my mind at ease. thank you very much, Danielle, xx

At 10 months old both of my kids were completely off baby food. They ate just about anything that I ate. Does he have a lot of teeth? If he does then you should be able to feed him finger foods. Small chunks of well cooked carrots or green beans. Cherrios are a good first finger food because they kind of dissolve in the baby's mouth. Something my daughter loved were something called Rusks. I bought them for her at Walmart in the baby section.

at first things like cheerios and small pieces of bread would be good. at 10mos i still kept them mostly on baby foods. it was at a year where i did more table foods. you should ask your doctor whats the best way to prepare table food for your child. i know that they say don't put too much seasoning like salt because it may upset their tummy and only give it to them a little at a time. keep on the baby cereal and oatmeal though, they have targeted to keep the best nutrients for your baby. i don't think there is any rush to start your baby on other foods. but if you really want, i know carrots can be good, just boiled and mashed and of course banana's as well. as for the fried bread. i don't think its the best idea to introduce him to fried foods at this age, i would just offer bread...nothing done to it and let him eat that. if they do good with that, you can do pancakes as well.
