When it comes to candy canes, are you a traditionalist? Do you love and buy the red and white striped mint flavored ones or do you like to shake it up with the flavored brightly colored ones, like the fruit flavored ones from Starburst or the green and brown striped ones from Hershey? When it comes to decorating I stick to tradition. I always hang the red and white striped ones from my tree or fill a bowl or vase with them for a nice christmasy touch. But when it comes to eating them, I must admit, I like the Hershey ones the best. Of course, that could be because I am such a chocolate freak LOL.

I like to decorate with the traditional peppermits canes but not so keen on eating them. I've never been a big fan of peppermint flavored stuff so I usually by the fruity or cherry flavored canes for eating around christmas. It's a big hit with the kids to.

i like the way the red and white ones look on the tree - just the contrast of the colours, but i really dont like the way they taste. lol...i also like to fill them in a vase and i recently bought some glass ones (after christmas and on sale of course) and display them that way in a cut glass crystal vase and it looks quite nice.

I really don't care for candy canes at all. I don't use them normally to decorate with and I rarely ever eat them. I find that they are bad for your teeth and I have never cared much for peppermint anyway. I don't like chocolate and mint together so I don't eat the Hershey ones either.

I get both. I prefer the peppermint red and white ones, but my son does not really like peppermint. Last year he had some fruity Spongebob ones. He asked me to buy him some Sweet Tarts ones last week, but I told him it was too early to be buying candy canes. I hang some peppermint ones on the tree too.
