Traveling does not have to be a waste of money. When I was growing up, my parents took us on trips two weeks out of the year (Daddy's vacation time from work). We always went either to places with historic significance or a national park. Anyway, where we went was educational. We always had fun on these trips.

I don't think its a waste of money because experience and memories you have shared with your loved ones could not be bought with money. I think if your basically thinking it would be waste of money then rather stay at home and do your usual thing. Traveling is more enjoying and exploring the world out there. If your rich, lucky for you! But if your in the middle earners you still can enjoy it with a good alternative though! ^^,

I think it is okay every now and then. I would never go in debt for it ever again though.

I don't think traveling is a waste of money provided that you choose your destination right. It should be a place that you will surely enjoy, and a place from which you can bring back memories that will make the trip worth the while. I think the memories, the experience and the information you get at the end of a tour or holiday will have a value greater than the money you have spent out of your pockets.

I would like to make a short travel through this discussion. Actually you will become more experienced through travelling.Your outlook towards life will change by travelling.Your vision span will become widened. For me, travelling always give a lot of things in my life.Travelling adds flavors to your thoughts. I think, the difference between a person who travel a lot and a person who do not travel is like the difference between the water inside an artificial pond and the water in a spring which is flowing all the time. The second one will be always crystal clear with out dirts and the first one will be full of dirts. So.. Travel..! Only then you can findout the real person inside you!! Thanks

nope, experience is all you really have... you can lose everything else, but not experience... so i blow my money on that all the time! makes you smarter... anyways, you can get a hole in your fancy jeans or scuff your chanel pumps, but you cant rip a hole in, or scuff your vacation, and it costs the same...

I do not think traveling is a waste of spending money. Especially when you really like to go to that place also when you enjoy it. If you are a traveler, I am sure you wont say that it is just a waste money. Though there are people really think that its a waste of money, if they did not enjoy the trip.

I do not think traveling is a waste of money. It is true that to travel, especially with the whole family would cost a lot of money but the money is not really wasted as the experience that you gained from your traveling cannot be purchased by money or be obtained by other methods. You have to be at that place to experience it. I love to travel abroad. Apart from the excitement of going over to another country, my intention has always been to take a look at the way the people there live their lives. The questions that I would always bring with me when I travel are like how are their culture different from mine? What is their local food and how do they taste? What is their economic activities and are they better of economically than people in my won country? How friendly are they with foreigners? Those are just some of the questions that I would seek the answer while traveling. From my travel, I have also learned that I am lucky to be where I am now as there are people from other countries that do not enjoy what I have and some do not even know that life is different out there from what they are used to. In conclusion, money is not wasted but experience is gained by spending the money. Cheers!

I don't think so. People have hobies and money as well as time spent on their hobbies. Travelling is a hobby.
