Do you believe in throwing salt over your shoulder will actually bring you some type of good luck? or if you eat an apple a day, it will keep the doctor away? I haven't ever been the type of person to believe in good luck or bad luck. I grew up in the church and I never was taught to believe in good luck or bad luck. My friends used to say that if you break a mirror that you would have 7 years of bad luck. I broke plenty of mirrors at a young age. I haven't seen those 7 years of bad luck and do not ever expect that I ever will. How about you are you superstitious?

For me to be a superstitious is not a bad thing. A lot of things have change especially that we are not in computer generation or high tech society. Things like this for some people are a part of the past generations and some have change there beliefs. Actually for me either you believe it or not there is nothing for that. It is up to you if you try it besides you will not loose anything if you try it and if it works then Good but not well at least you have some sort of knowing the truth about it.

I have a lot of friends and colleagues who're true superstitious. They always cared about the number, the day and even the colour. I will not saying that superstitious is not good but for me it will delay most of your job. For example, you want to buy a car then because of the superstitious thing, you have to book a "lucky" plate number like 9889, 9999 or 7997. Sometimes you have to wait for sometime to get the number. In this case, the time already wasted. Ifwe thinking logically, how the number can help us to get a good luck and how the mirror can be related to our luck too. Maybe person who believes it have a different views on this so due to respect to them I will say that being a superstitious is not wrong only it will makes certain simple process being a bit complicated.

I don't believe in good luck/bad luck in a serious way, but sometimes it can be fun to throw salt over your shoulder or something like that. And it's hard to deny that when certain events occur, your automatic reaction is to recite one of these little sayings haha. I think it's fun to think about but not something to live life by.

I am a very practical person, never believed in superstitions, but there are others in my family who are very superstitious, I dont contradict them by giving my logical views but respect their views and beliefs but I feel very frustrated when they try to push those beliefs on me, but small things I would also like to follow like wearing the same dress for interviews or exams or using the same path to reach my destination if before once it was successful and so on... I think no harm in it... what do you say...

I don't think eating an apple a day is some type of superstition. Anyhow, I try not to be superstitious but I know it's deeply rooted in my veins hahahhahaa Well that's what you get when growing up in the province ey? But seriously, I don't mind as long as it isn't over-the-top or extremes. I just do them for the sake of doing them, because if ever something does happen for not doing what the old people have told you, then it's your fault right? It won't hurt to try. Be safe than sorry, as the say. So I do the following 'superstitions': 1. Not to cut my nails at night. But sometimes, I'm forced to so I'm not 100% following that superstition. 2. Saying 'excuse me' in my native dialect when walking or pissing or doing something in the woods after 6pm. 3. No running after 6pm. 4. Knocking on wood when talking about unfortunate stuff. 5. Not saying thank you and goodbye when visiting a wake. 6. Not wearing red when visiting someone's wake. 7. Not wearing black on weddings and special occasions. 8. Not sleeping with wet hair. and a lot more, I can't remember all of them at this time. Hehehehee...

hey, hdjohnson! "one apple a day, keeps doctor away", this is just a good saying. The apply is good for your health, and will do good to your health. this doesn't belong to superstition. I don't believe in superstition of some good luck. But I do be afraid of some superstition about bad luck. If you believe it, it exsists if you don't believe it, it doesn't exsists Anyway, I don't care about so much.

I am not superstitious although I have my own good luck charms. For example, when I played baseball, I used to always make a sign before I went up to bat. Sometimes, I would hit a homerun, other times I would strike out. On the other hand, I have broken a mirror but can't remember having bad luck for 7 years. So I believe more in good luck charms for mental motivation but not superstitions as such!
