Too much watching or looking at those screens will make our eyes blur. it will cause our eyes to develop eye ailments such as nearsightedness, because the monitors emit radiation in order to produce picture on the monitor.and too much watching it will cause eye ailments. to prevent it, don't watch too much. in the computer screen, we can put a shield screen to avoid radiation. if we already developed nearsightedness, wear glasses that suit the eye. there are already eye glasses that has lens which protects eyes from radiation.
Staring the screen for too long will lead to eye problems like nearsightedness. nearsightedness is one of the common eye problems.
There is no conclusive proof that being too close to a screen causes eye problems other than eye strain.
It makes our eyes blur or strain. One can develop eye problems like nearsightedness and so on. it is because of the radiation which is emitted from television or computer. the best thing is to have some break and not staring at it all the time.
Radiation is what affects our eyes. that is what the question is all about. And besides, blinking or not, our eyes are still affected by the radiation. It doesn't mean that if you blink, there will be less radiation. as long as it emits, there will be really radiation.

Ha, you just stay online way too long silly.
I have worked with computers for more than 20 years now and I stay online working way too long sometimes.
As a computer instructor I live on my computer and yes my eyes feel like they are going to bleed at times but the last time I got my eyes checked, which was this year, my eyes have actually improved and I had to get new glasses. So I would say that all those years of burning my eyes out didn't really hurt them at all. :)
Keep on keeping on, but give your eyes a break periodically.

I think too much stay on monitor will damage our eyes.
When we work on a computer screen, our eyes and muscles undergo some physical and physiological changes. Our blinking rate drastically reduces as we are engrossed in the screen and forgot to blink. This causes the tear film on our eyes to break up and induce a burning and gritty sensation eventually leading to red swollen eyes.Since the distance between our eyes and the computer screen is usually very less, our eyes have exert extra effort and "accommodate" so as to focus on the object on the screen.Doing this for a prolonged period without a break leads to fatigue, headache and eye strain. Not only eyes our work-place ergonomics also determines our posture and the onset or related problems like spondylitis and back pains.

I stay too long on my computer and I feel the same way to. I just can't stop using my computer because I am addicted. I have tons to do with my pc and I love. But in return my eyes seems to be hurting so I just relax my eyes time to time when using it.

Looking at the glare from a computer monitor (or anything like a television, gaming system, etc.) for too long can cause eye strain and headaches. Some ways to solve that are to adjust the type size on your computer so that it is most comfortable for you to read, make sure the screen is not too bright or too dim for your eyes, take breaks once in a while, close your eyes for a moment, and be sure you are blinking properly rather than forgetting to (sounds weird, yes, but many people do not blink properly when they are reading or watching television or something like that).
