I love to play Christmas carols. I like them so much that usually I even make a short CD for my family and friends of my playing various Christmas carols on different instruments.
This year I hope to make this a collaboration of me and a friend making music. Last year a bit before Christmas I started teaching her how to play the harmonica, so hopefully this year she will feel confident enough to play at least one song with me on the CD.

Hi there Pigglies!
I love listening to Christmas Carols. That sounds fun. You are talented with music. I know how to play the guitar but only a little bit. My mother loves to listen to Christmas carols too. She would wake up early in the morning and play them loud. I don't know but it really affect all of us and we wake up feeling cheerful just like how the carols are.

I find the carols cheerful too. It gets a bit annoying by the end of the Christmas season though to hear them on the radio all the time, but I don't tire of playing them.
I just started working on getting a duet together with my friend tonight. We decided who is playing what part and hopefully it will be ready shortly.

Good luck with your project. Yes, I enjoy playing Christmas carols, but since I don't pay an instrument, I have to play them on the CD. I like both secular and religious Christmas music.

the only instrument i can play is the recorder lol! and i havent picked one up in probably 2 decades! so i rather doubt if noise i managed to produce would sound remotely like a carol!
i do however love christmas carols, i dont have any more cd's, used to have about a dozen different ones, but they are long gone. when i was in school and a member of the choir, going caroling was always my absolute favorite part! i just loved it! i sang soprano so i got to do the "fun" parts lol! mostly we went to the senior centers and retirement homes, and everyone there always seemed to enjoy having live carolers come visit them!

Aw, that is one I couldn't learn. I tried to learn song flute in 4th grade, then I tried to learn recorder on my own later. I couldn't learn either, they just made no sense to me and I couldn't get a nice sound. So I am somewhat envious of people who can play.
I used to go caroling in choir too, except I was a second soprano so it wasn't as fun, lol. But you know what, I've been thinking about going harmonica caroling to a few local retirement homes. I've heard of people doing that and I'm thinking if there is a group near here that does that, I'd do it for sure... on my own though, possibly. But hopefully I could get at least a couple others in on it.

Some people don't like cheerful christmas carols like me. i rarely appreciate the christmas atmosphere because when growing up i realized how many people over the world is going through war, famine, and pain. I just feel guilty when getting involved without thinking outside of the 'line'

I love listening to Christmas carols around the holidays. My family and I used to all get together on Christmas Eve and we'd always end up around the piano singing together. I think it's a really great idea to incorporate that into gifts - anything to make people smile.

Oh that is really cool. I've always wanted to do something like that.
My mom plays the piano, but she will hardly ever play for us. I play as well, but I'm horrible at memorizing songs and there are so many carols to remember. I tried playing once for a work party and it was really bad. I never knew there were pianos without a music stand built in, so there was no place to set the music and I was trying to balance it on my leg but it kept falling. It ended up with everyone thinking I couldn't even play the piano. :(
