My father-in-law bought a car last December 2007 and he opted for a Honda Civic 2008. He other option was Toyota. This is our third car. We also have a Nissan Exalta and Toyota Revo (I think this is only available in the Philippines).
I think Toyota is more widely used here in the Philippines because it is easy to buy and replace the parts. Honda has the image of being luxurious and cold airconditioning units.

I havent save a lot to buy myself a car but if i will have the many i would like to have a TOyota Rav-4,a Mini Chrysler Cooper,a Cherry QQ or a Nissan Patrol.Too bad i am not capable of buying a car right now.I dont even know how to drive.I guess i need to save up first for the car while learning how to drive before enumerating the cars i would like to have!

I'm not sure if you wanted us to choose brands out of the ones you listed or not. Out of the ones you talked about, I pretty much always enjoy Hondas. They are pretty reliable cars and appeal to my sense of style or what I like esthetically. As for personal taste, I own a BMW and I really love it. I had a Saab before and liked that as well, and had an excellent crash rating which probably saved my life.

Toyota and Honda cars are nice cars. At home, I have an old Honda Civic Vtec Year 1997. And it is still in good condition. With only 134K mileage and with good stick shift transmission. My family had this car for 11 yrs and still, you can still see this car everywhere. My dad would like to get a new SUV car, either Mitsubishi or Toyota. But either, both are cool cars. But if I have money for it, and like money won't be really an issue, I would like to get myself Mercedes Benz McLaren, or Bentley GT Continental. Those are super cars and very sleek. Cruising around the Metro with those cars, I feel like I'm driving towards heaven. But for now, I'm cool with my Honda. =)

I think Toyota Revo is not available everywhere. In my opinion Toyota is easy to maintain and the parts are available widely and cheaply. And its resale value is very high. But if you go on to the comfort and a bit luxury Honda is better in that area. I have a honda accord and a toyota camry, dont worry they are not mine personally, they are owned by my brothers. So I love both of them, but Honda accord is very comfortable and has a very good road grip where as camry is good in many ways also. You can say that both are good at their place. Like if you combine the features of both the cars it would be the best car.

If the question is which car brand i prefere, the answer is, in the order:
Ferrari
Lamborghini
Lotus
Porche
Aston Martin
But if you are asking what car i'm planning to buy in the near future, i will buy a QQ 6, a really cheap chinese car. I'm planning to move in china, and i guess that car will be perfect for the use i will need to do there.
happy myLotting

I prefer Volvo, Toyota, Honda, Cadillac, and BMW. But my car is a Ford! LOL And wouldn't you know it needs work. However my husband's work truck, a '91 Toyota pickup is still going and it has almost 300,000 on it. That's what I get for not buying a foreign vehicle!

I used to have a Ford Sport Explorer. And I love it.
I didnt want to sell it but plans changed and I just had to do it !.
Now, I have a Toyota Rav4 2008. Very gas efficient .
I just love it. But given the chance I would like to have another Ford Car or a Honda Pilot.

I had a honda brand, but I have to leave it. Then I bought a toyota car,it serving me better. Honda parts and service is expensive and problematic and also not upto date in model . My recent car toyota serving me better. its cutting edge technology and its parts' availability and service is fantastic. I suggest toyota from my experience.

Personally, I'm a Honda fan. I love Honda and my dream car is a Honda.
I think that Honda is much more innovative with its technology. Engine wise is very fuel efficient yet powerful. Have aggressive looks that make it standout on his own.
Civic 08 is one of the well build car Honda have and till now it still look awesome. How I wish to own this car one day.

Hi maroseqf.presently I am using a Hundai Accent.....I dont know if its available in your place. Its a luxury car like Honda city.....Its power steering and power brakes provides good maneuverablity even in heavy traffic, but finding a parking place is a big problem.......So sometimes I opt for my son's Sandro Zing........its a smaller car and its easier for me to park it when I go on a shopping spree.....

They are all good choices of cars your family has. I just sold my Ford mondeau 1.6lx. It was too expensive to run. I now have a Renauly cleo. It is awful, but times are bad.
My all time favourite would have to be a Mercedes Benz. So stylish. When I win the lottery I will but two of them. One for me. One for the hubby.
I think I would choice a black one.
