TODAY IS NOVEMBER 11.is it important to you?

hi successlog.Its not a special day for me n not for indians also.ya but 9 th and 10th was little important bcoz it was my friends birthday.But today is not that important for me.but if i would be in china then i too would have celebrated this because im also single. And i too would honour them. Happy mylotting.

They call it Veterans day in America; as you can see, like you said it's kind of like a memorial day for the soldiers or the veterans who serve in the U.S. Military, but it's not exactly a memorial day. Memorial day is either may 25th or last monday of may, if I remember correctly, but it's either one of those 2 days.

November 11th is very important to me. Not only is it Veterans Day where we remember and honor the vetrans in the US, but it is also my oldest sons birthday! He is 20 yrs old today. It is a day where I look back and remember him as a little boy growing up and get to see what a wonderful man he has grown into.

It is Veteran's Day in the United States, but it is not as important to me as the day before it. November 10th is my wedding anniversary. I have been married 19 years now. I had never ever heard of your festival in China before you just now mentioned it. Have a nice day and happy myLotting!!!

This day is important for a number of reasons. As stated in an earlier post for this discussion, it is Veteran's Day here in the US. I definitely honor those who have lost their lives in the wars. But today is the day that I've decided to take my life back. I am a stay at home mom and for years I've been made to feel useless. My husband doesn't appreciate me or think I am worth much at all because I don't make money. He thinks it is so easy to watch children 24 hours a day (literelly because mine are 2 and 1 yrs old). So today, I take back my life. I am worth much more than I've been given!

Yestoday is the single festival day. In our country China,these foreign holiday like single day,Christmas and so on,i think is becoming more and more popular and much more people choose to celebrate these festivals. But as to ordinary people like me and my classmates,we do not do some especial things in these days.We life as usual.

well i guess nov 11 is the birth date of my late father-in-law! when he was alive then we usually surprised him to visit un announced and bring some gifts and food after work and we can see how happy he was during that time.... i guess little things that you give to someone means a lot to them especially our olds...

In Canada we call it Remembrance day. We honor those that fought for our freedoms in all wars current and past. I think it is really important to remember those that gave so much so we could live in a free land. Thank you to all veterans from the world over.

I forgot that today it's the Memorial Day. But I know today it's the Single's Day in China. It's no longer an important festival for me as I have been married for 5 years:) I hope one day you will find your right one:) I love China

Today is a very special day and I know the importance of honoring those who served our country in past and present wartime. I am forty years old and never served in any military forces but I do appreciate what our boys have done. The United States in which I live does honor this day with the American flag flying proud and I feel proud of my country also. It is sad that so many lives were lost but we will never forget them. Yes, it is indeed a very special day in the U.S. On this day we honor the ones who fought for us to remain free. Free to go where we want to go, free to worship where we want to, free to enjoy our freedom. Today we honor our veterans and they are special.

today's my sister's 2nd year wedding anniversary---so i wish her and her husband all the best... i wish they get pregnant soon....

Yes, today is important to me in my own way. I do not have direct relationship or family memember who served in the wars. I have grown up attending remembrance day ceremonies and performing music and creating presentations. For this reason, I have learned to respect all those who sacrificed their lives for us. So, today I remember all those people, Nov 11, 2008!

Today is Rememberance Day in Canada. We honour all people who gave their lives in the great wars and in the wars today where Canadianss are deployed. There are services at war memorials in all cities and laying of wreaths. We wear a red poppy on our lapels close to our hearts. When we attend the service at one of the war memorials we deposit our poppy at the base of it after the service is over. Well I must hurry to get ready to go to the service. Thanks for the topic.

i am so glad november 11 has come when the school reopened.till now the kids were having diwali vacations and were driving me crazy with their stupid antics.

It is Veteran's Day in the United States today.. My son is out of school today for this day. So, I guess other places like banks could be closed today as well. I believe that this day is very important because it honors all of the soldiers whom fought to keep our country alive. I salute them all! Some have lost their lives doing this, and for that they are greatly honored and saluted!

Today is the Birthday of my youngest brother.He turns 13 years old now.He is now in his teen pears.I wish him all the best in his birthday.

November 11 is very important to me. This is the day I was born. First and foremost, I have to thank God for letting me out here and see the beautiful world. However,I am so sad right now. I got very sad because it seems that this is the worst birthday ever. I won't tell you the details, but to sum it up,my husband and I are not in good terms. I feel so bad that when we chatted in yahoo, I rarely talked to him. He got fed up i think and sad too because he can't cheer me up and he is not here beside me. But before he went to work, he settled everything and we are okay now. Maybe i am too sensitive again. I am glad my husband is very patient especially with me. Anyway, happy birthday to me!

Its veteran's Day here in the US. The day to honor the soldiers who fought during the war. There will be parades and some ceemonies for sure. Its not that important to me but since it is a holiday so it will give me more time to rest.
